Males like this are players. Females like this are <insert s-word>. Aren't double standards grand?
I keep hoping - we've made progress in terms of minority and gay rights after all..

I'm so sorry.
Sometimes I also wonder why the society has come to this? Doesn't everyone has a sister or a girlfirend or a wife or at least a mother? It just doesn't make sense to me to oppress the 50 percent of the population.
But on the other hand, it's nothing wrong for a guy to want to have a girlfriend who hasn't been with a lot of other guys before. It's also human nature.

Nothing to be sorry about - unless you consciously recognize that there's a problem, and continue to contribute to it.
As for a guy wanting a girl who hasn't been with a lot of other guys - you're ill pressed to refer to it as "human nature". Sexual mores aren't cross- cultural - or even cross-societal.
I don't know how old you are but trust me - for many men this becomes a non issue after the age of 40.

I don't recall anyone calling Zevran's sexual appetites specifically healthy, if that's supposed to be honest question. You also have missed fretting over Zevran displaying his sexual appetite to Hawke after being in romance with their Warden.Seena wrote...

The mere thought of encountering a woman comfortable with her sexuality is horrible, right? She may even dare to have sex with whomever she wants, regardless of what others think. Oh noes, what will the Chantry say!
I doubt the OP would have bothered to start this thread, if a male character had been as free with his love as Izzy may be. Long live double standards!

The doubt is incorrect, the OP is actually feeling very bad right now. And he wants to say,"I know. I am terrible and it makes me sad. May I rest my head in your bosom? I wish to cry."

And how can he make sure about this? The only way to secure this historical mission is to prohibit his woman to have any sexual contacts with any other men. Always remember that gene is selfish.

Your choice of words here is very telling. It is one thing to support monogamy. You, however, present a view in which men are allowed to "prohibit' sexual promiscuity of "their women."
Well, any self-respecting, self-confident woman will rip your heart out, if you try to "prohibit" her from doing whatever she pleases. And rightfully so.

It's indeed human nature. The reason for every guy who has that feeling is very simple. I hate to boil it down to the biological perspective, but it's true that most male can not be sure his kid is actually his. And how can he make sure about this? The only way to secure this historical mission is to prohibit his woman to have any sexual contacts with any other men. Always remember that gene is selfish.
But that's not my point. My point is we should recognize the problem while accepting that it's a human thing. Denial just makes it worse. And THEN, we can improve by defying our inferior nature with reason and logic.

I also find this tiresome, but if you check one of the recent companion threads Isabela is doing decently rating wise.
& I like Isabela, I do find that they push sexual inneundo banters a bit too far frequency wise - but then almost, if not all the companions are pushed to display their special kind of uniqness so hard that it feels a bit overzelous and most of them end up feeling shallow.
I DIDN"T mean that. My point was, every man would subconsciously think that in terms of biology. My idea is that we should realize this fact, and deal with it rationally. I don't represent any theories here, I'm merely discussing the matter in a manner of critical-thinking.5ubzer0 wrote...

The background likely played some role in that, i think. If Isabela was born in the ****house, raised there collectively by the staff and trained to be one (along with being a murderer) from the get-go, complaining about the level of her sexual experience and attitude towards it would come across considerably more silly, imo.Seena wrote...
I recall distress over his bisexuality. I don't recall any wheres NEAR the fretting over his quantity of sex.
I also must say, the male demographic, at least in the US for men age 40 and over, will be dominated by married men. I would assume it would be similar for women, not that such a thing can change ones attitude. :innocent:
