Zevhran is a guy. Most players are males. Normal..eh...straight men. Thus...Zevhran is not even close to be hit on.

Maybe, but there's still different degrees of silliness imo.Seena wrote...
I think any complaining about her sexual experience is silly

It's indeed human nature. The reason for every guy who has that feeling is very simple. I hate to boil it down to the biological perspective, but it's true that most male can not be sure his kid is actually his. And how can he make sure about this? The only way to secure this historical mission is to prohibit his woman to have any sexual contacts with any other men. Always remember that gene is selfish.
To say something is "human nature" - it must be universal.
I'm sorry - but you are wrong - that feeling is not universal.
I'll use my own culture as an example. I am half Iroquois - (Mohawk). You get your clan (which defines who you are) -- from your mother. Why? (And this ties somewhat into your "theory" -however incorrect it is as expressed)
Because you always know who your mother is.
You never know for certain, who your father is. (No matter how hard they might work to keep their women secluded.)
Sexual freedom was the rule in Iroquois society - when a woman grew tired of a man - his shoes and weapons were placed outside the longhouse (which she owned).
There are many cultures where a sexually experienced woman is seen as a desirable thing. They don't however tend to be ones where Christianity or Islam have any significant sway. (Although I'd say some Latin American cultues have gotten beyond this, big time.)
And I'm sorry - if you feel that human perspectives/thoughts/desires etc are simply goverened by genes - you do us a great disservice. But that's not my point. My point is we should recognize the problem while accepting that it's a human thing. Denial just makes it worse. And THEN, we can improve by defying our inferior nature with reason and logic.
That certainly didn't come across in your original post.
And I'll continue to have faith that darwinian theory isn't really what determines our behaviors.

Maybe, but there's still different degrees of silliness imo.In the sense you can consider it silly just on the grounds it doesn't match your personal view, but then there's silliness that's complaining about someone's behaviour when they had been conditioned into it largely without making conscious personal choice.

Alright, I think I have made my point, and you have made yours. And everyone else should be able to find their interpretation from this. I don't feel that we are debating? Are we? Because I'm not angry or anything, I actually feel good, your words give me a lot to think about. So thank you for telling me a truehearted point of view. And I'm just curious, if it's not too personal, what is your other half of bloodline? I swear this isn't a trick, I just found your case is most fascinating.

He says something to that effect if i remember right, but the way it's voiced and worded felt strongly to me like a mix of putting on a facade and consciously choosing the "if the life gives you lemons" attitude. There seems to be an undercurrent of bitterness if nothing else, and well, then there's his approach to love, someting that takes him long time to come to terms with.Seena wrote...
Although I seem to recall him specifically saying that his childhood in the brothel wasn't all that bad. It was his sale to the Crows that seemed to be more traumatic. (But I might be remembering this wrong..)

There is nothing wrong with civil debate. And why would I think you are angry?
"Something to think about" - is a start.
My mother was Irish. Irish Catholic in fact. And she did what she wanted, when she wanted- no man would have dared try to tell her what to do.
Oh - I'm not a "case". I'm a person.![]()

But that's probably subject ejoslin would be best equipped to discuss

Besides, you don't agree with monogamy? I still don't think a married woman should have sex with any guy rather than her husband. Maybe I'm old fationed, it's just my personal opinion. (I'm actually 20, but maybe I'm still too old for some people:lol:)
Oh, I'm still feeling very sad, may I rest my head in your bosom?

I've never romanced Zevran (sucker for Leliana) - I've been thinking of another playthrough - what you've said makes me want to explore him further.
thanks!
I bet he'd have something naughty to say about itSeena wrote...

You have not talked about monogamy here. Monogamy is a mutual agreement between two partners to remain sexually exclusive to each other. So where are your comments about women having the right to "prohibit" "their men" from being promiscuous?
Personally, I believe you started this thread with the intent of bashing Izzy, solely because you do not seem to agree with her promiscuous behavior. You call it old-fashioned. I call it sexist.
Oh, and I am also feeling quite sad. May I pinch you butt and send you off to your corner to practice some more of that critical thinking of yours?

If someone finds Zevran equally disgusting for his behaviour are they still sexist?
You're obviously fine with Isabelas behaviour and hey, to each their own. Just seems to me like your post contains some tones of misandry;)

You know what was a great game that included STD's? Fable 2. Hilarious that
you could get an STD from sleeping with a prostitute(can't think of any
other game that does that off the top of my head)
Damn!
Are you serious? So in Fable 2, you can't even have a single honest good time even though you just saved the goddamn world?
Technically, I believe you can- I think it's based on a dice roll that's 50% or more likely to infect you.(that's not a direct stat., just one that i'm estimating)

You can call me old fashioned if you want to but i prefer women who haven't slept with half the city.
Well, that's INDEED very old fashioned. From what I observe these days, most guys don't care about their girl friend's sexual history. On the other hand, most girls have had sex with 5 or 6 guys at age 18. And 20 or 25 guys at age 25.
My suggestion is to invent a time machine so that you can travel back to the past to find a decent lady. This is the ONLY solution.
(BTW, personally I would like to have sex with a virgin, and possibly marry her, but you see how difficult it is? Somehow it has become a dream these days...)
