Hasn't the topic strayed far enough? This is a thread about whether or not you'd take up Isabella on a wild night, not a flame war on male/female evolution and sexual motives.

True that, and apologies for straying the thread off topic. In any case, I really don't think about such about it in this game after getting so far into it. I only play the role in the game if it has some bearing on the outcome of the story, in which DA2, it doesn't change the outcome. In Origins, romancing Leliana, Morrigan, Zevran or Alistair, actually had an effect on the outcome of the game and how they viewed the PC when the PC was made certain choices. This is barely the case, and made nearly meaningless in DA2.

Isabela is the first BioWare character to date which I wouldn't even deign to flirt with. Yes, I'd even place her below Jack.

The double standards exist because since the earliest times, the role of the male was to sleep with as many females as possible to have greater chance to extend his generation. It was a basic survival mechanism.

Female's role was completely different. She was meant to give birth and raise children, not bang everything in sight.

That's why the double standards are not really double standards, but a warped way of thinking by our liberated society.

"The' role' of the male"???

You must be joking right?

Role as determined by women, you mean.  Posted Image

Yes - because we all know  women are the ones who founded the discipline of anthropology, and are writing the outdated anthropology texts used in University ;)

Normally I'd be all for women (pixelated or otherwise) being proud and flaunting a more carefree sexuality, but then a certain scene between Anders and Isabella at his clinic made me reconsider that notion.

Too risky.

Males like this are players. Females like this are <insert s-word>. Aren't double standards grand? Posted Image

A key what can open many locks is called a masterkey.

A lock what can be opened by many keys is called a ****ty lock.

Double standards are ftw.

ALL women should be like Isabella. Looking for sex. Ready for sex. Any kind of sex. ALL the time.

So anyway, about that Isabela...

I like her. <3

/agree

I like her attitude. I like how energetic and fun-loving she is.

I like how, despite the fact they she portrays herself as a brigand; she actually does the right thing when push comes to shove (but is by no means a goody-two-shoes).

As for what the topic is about.. sex with Isabella?

Given the lack of hygeine in Thedas and the lack of proper medicine etc. I dunno if I would risk it. Still, if magic can cure STDs? Hell yes.

[contains spoilers]

More women, and men, should be more honest about their intentions, but then neither is Isabela, rather - as noted above - she is hardly especially active in DA2. (Or as far as I know she will have sex with you or Fenris, and Zevran if you don't mind, at it will take at least 3 years for the first of these).

Some banter hints that she are, while some hints that she is not.

So she never has sex with any of her crew, and aside from Zevran, potentially Hawk or Fenris, potentially the Warden, with the added addtions of Leliana and/or Alistair, her first husband, and her first love the rest could just be bravado.

Or she says broke the fingers of those that tried to grab her ass in the hanged man, then later in one banter with the barkeeper she says that if she ever goes down the cellar it won't be alone ~ and this play continous through out the game.

& As laters is brought she is afraid of being loved, and hides it by lust.

Damaged for sure, but I feel it to be as much of a show as the truth (obviously she isn't a prude at all, and I'm not saying that).
