The description for most skills, we'll use Assualt for example, says "X amount physical damage" what if the weapon I'm using doesn't do physical damage, we'll say Desdemona's Blade. Will it do physical damage? Will it do nature damage?
What if on top of that, I have Elemental Weapons with Cold damage. When I use Assault, what damage types will I actually do? I'm not sure if Elemental Weapons is only proc'd on auto/basic attacks or not.
Weapons that don't use phys. damage, but skills that do

Abilities that use weapons deal damage based on the weapon itself. Using a fire sword will deal the Assault's damage with fire.
I think that damage from Elemental Weapons is added to abilities such as Assassinate as well (referring to the 10% increase from the sustained ability); someone needs to confirm it.

Correct. You can not hurt a fire proof baddie while using a fire weapon and Assasinate or any other similar talent.

All right, thanks guys. I don't know why it doesn't change to "Deals X Y damage" in the description. Assuming you let X =amount of damage dealt, and Y= the type of damage.
