I kind of thought he meant Isabela.
Isbela is only scary in an "I hope this rash is nothing serious..." way.
Not really sure who Sandal saw. None of the possibilities make much sense. Leandra isn't scary, nor is her laugh. Flemeth is, but why would Flemeth be randomly appearing in Hawke's house to laugh at mentally challenged dwarves? It can't be Bethany because she's alive a lot of the time. Hmm. Here's an off the wall one. Since the Veil is so thin in Kirkwall and Sandal is... well we don't know what Sandal is, is it possible he just saw a desire demon that's in the Fade? It might just be another reference to Kirkwall's messed up veil and we're reading too much into it.

I like the Veil idea, makes most sense to me. *nods*

Everything he says has no meaning whatsoever.
I will maintain this view until the writers force the notion that Sandal is a super god down our throats, but we have a year at least for that.

I've NEVER managed to get the scary lady dialogue out of Sandal. I HAVE heard his prophecy, but it's been officially confirmed that the prophecy only has a 1/100 chance of being heard. Which is why I give it some credence, because it seems like something subtle put in that a player only has a rare chance of hearing. So it will be a "Sandal totally talked about this!" later for players who heard it, but it doesn't harm you to not hear it. Does anyone know where there's a youtube clip of Sandal talking about the scary lady? I'd like to hear it since apparently, I'm a scary enough lady in all my playthroughs that no others sneak in.

Wonder whats in mom's room.
I kept thinking I missed a side quest because something had to require you to go in there... then I FINALLY noticed that there's no room behind the door on the minimap.

Thank you very much. It is interesting, because Sandal has never actually lied to us before that we know of. He's not good at explaining things well when ti comes to ohw he kills rooms full of darkspawn and freezes an ogre... but he doesn't lie. It's possible there's an explanation for it, but I doubt it's "He's not really seeing anything." like his father wants to think.

I thought he was wrong, but then he pointed out a very big fact.
She had a massive flippin' death sword with scary magics.
So yeah, it COULD'VE been Meredith, but I imagine more would've been made of it (but then we get the 'how much control did she really have?' discussion.)

He just got into Isabela's "stash." Mystery over, sorry guys.

Meredith certainly qualifies as scary. I wouldn't verify the "woman" part on a drunken bet, so I'll take your word on it. But why would she be creeping around Hawke's mansion in the middle of the night? And the way they talk, it sounds like Bo--er, whatever the other dorf's name is, was there too and couldn't see whatever Sandal was seeing.

I would, but I like a lady who can and might kill me.
Don't judge.

No need to judge. Turns out that's a pretty self-correcting policy.

My bet is that it's foreshadowing for what might happen in Dragon Age 3. I don't think we'll see DLC for it.
