Hello I'm new to the forum and I had just purchased Dragon Age 2 today, I had a smooth install of the game and was hyped to play it but it seems I cannot go any further than the Release Date Check part, when I try to do it the loading screen comes up for it and it says 'Please wait until the online release date check has been completed.' I don't if it is frozen or just won't load, if anyone knows a solution could you please supply some assistance, thank you very much.

Do you use a firewall or any IP blocking program like Peerblock or Peerguardian?

I don't have a peerblock and I tried doing it without a firewall and also ran the exe as an administartor but no progress. =(

Have you tried downloading/installing Patch 1.01?  One of the listed fixes alleges "Fixed release control issues where some players were unable to unlock correctly" so it may be worth a shot if you haven't yet tried it.

Run CMD

ipconfig /flushdns

Ipconfig /registerdns

Give that a try..

Nothing has worked, the command didn't work and the patch won't work. I'm, thinking of just getting it for xBox instead.

Patch 1.01 removes the SecuROM Release Check entirely. If you install patch 1.01 before launching the game for the first time, the SecuROM Release Check software will never even run.

1. Uninstall the game.
2. Install the game.
3. Install patch 1.01.
4. Launch the game.
