This is very irritating (in addition to all other bugs and inability to play 2 characters, for one of which I payed additional money, and bugged armor and other things).

Problem: Because of the "ingenious" solution to increase difficulty by introducing opponents jumping from the sky, loose targeting system also jumps from your current target to somebody else, who just jumped in, even though you dont move controller. In PS3 it results in:

a. Missing a spell. I mean, really, you cast a damn spell at one person, but it lands on another... thus, you need
b. Pause the game to cycle through all opponents one by one (we can't quickly click, there is no mouse), etc.

Missing spells are extremely irritating on hardcore and up. Fix the target, please.

PS. Typical example is the beginning of the Shepherding Wolves quest, when all but one opponents jump from the sky and the targeting jumps arbitrarily to one of them.

I've had issues with targeting also. Perhaps related to yours. Even if I hold L2 and try to manually target, it's like the system doesn't recognize any of the mobs and will only allow me to target party members, even though I'm a rogue and can't cast any spells on party members. I have to let the battle progress for a few seconds with my rogue standing there doing nothing until the system seems to catch up and I can target a mob again. It's very strange.

I've had problems where the game refuses to cycle to some targets in-front of me. This occurs occasionally in combat and when trying to target objects in the game world. I have to twist the camera around and move my character to get the game to register that there is another thing I can target before me. This happens a lot when I get too close to objects, they suddenly become untargetable.

I do also notice targeting jumping around without my input. The game uses a smart target system that will sometimes be too smart, jumping to something else before the enemy I'm just about to kill is dead.
