Same issue on PS3... in additon to the numerous other game breaking bugs... Did anyone manage to play through this game even once before releasing it to the public? It's pretty damn obvious that no one did. Either that, or the QA's were smoking crack while they tested. I'll go with crack...
Last EA title I ever buy before it has been patched 2-3 times -- that much is for certain.
