I have to ask this, as it's been bugging me. I love the blood on characters in Medium setting, but with the increased lighting and other effects I don't find nessisary keep me from playing with it as it takes up too much memory and hurts my FPS.
Is there any way to get into an advanced settings menu so I can customize it to my liking, or are we stuck with the default of Low, Medium, and High?

Because it would be pretty annoying if I couldn't get advanced settings...

You can turn off persistent gore from the options in game, under the game tab.

That's the exact opposite of what I want?

That's a no. You may want to have a look at the Dragonage.ini
(C:\\\\Users\\\\your account\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings)
but only these options are there and I'm not sure they ovveride anything because I have 8xAF force on my card but the ini shows 0
[VideoOptions]
ResolutionWidth=1600
ResolutionHeight=1024
FullScreen=0
UseVSync=1
GraphicsDetailLevel=3
AntialiasingLevel=8
TexturePack=2
EnableFrameBufferEffects=1
DisableMRT=0
DisableAspectRatioCorrection=0
RefreshRate=60
UseTrilinearFiltering=0
UseTripleBuffering=0
UseDesktopGamma=0
Gamma=0.5
EnableShadows=1
AnisotropicFilteringLevel=0
ForceLowSettings=0

You said you don't want the blood on your players. That turns it off after combat.
Gore still remains when you are in combat.

Is there any way to disable the fog effect and nothing else? ^^
My system runs smoothly 99% of the game...but when there is fog somewhere the fps goes down.
There really should be an advanced graphics option in the game.

That's one of my problems as well CHT87, and it bothers me. Is it really so difficult to put in an advanced graphics option?

I think the problem is that the game has been in development so long that it simply can't run on advanced graphics.
I had to underclock my card just to make it run.

I guess some day one modder will bring out a mod with which we can disable all effects.
But BW...well...why put effort into it? >___>
