Nobody loads up a game thinking "I'm going to watch some strippers on Omega! Hell yeah!"

Why add the 'watch' or 'sit' option in the first place?

It's flavor content. Like the drinking. It's a nice touch to have.

It's fun flavour content, but not if the genders are represented equally? Your argument seems to be:

-Nobody cares about the strippers
-Except it's a nice touch
-But if male strippers were added, it would become unrealistic
-No one would care about male strippers anyway

Obviously, many of us would like to see male strippers. It would be fun flavour content and would help flesh out the Mass Effect universe as equal opportunity. I don't think that male strippers will make or break the game for any of us, but a lot of us are simply saying "Hey, wouldn't it be cool to see men shaking their butts alongside the women? I know I'd enjoy it!"

Look the problem with adding male strippers is , that man are superficial .
As long it has good size boobs buts and pretty face , men are set .

Now you have women , who think perfect men are hulks , who think perfect men are slender or slime., but all of them agree it is not only looks that counts .
Men are more simpler . sorry that is the truth .

(sorry for generalising but we all know deep inside , when you are different you are different )

Hehe fair point - seems a bit odd having all asari as slim and attactive.
Although idk what asari eat, they could just be all like that genetically - and since they use biotics a lot, may take a lot of energy.
Suppose, but it does seem silly how everyone is exactly the same built.

I really like OPs idea. While asari strippers are fine, I'd love to see some male strippers too.

The Reapers on on the Galaxys doorsteps and your asking for male strippers in a club...are you serious?

But having female (well, monogendered asari) strippers at the clubs while Saren and Sovereign are planning their attack and while Collectors kidnap human colonies is absolutely serious and necessary thing? XD

Earth is burning, the Reapers are laying waste to the homeworld of mankind and then moving on to the rest of the galaxy...who the hell is going to have time to watch strippers male or female?

Why can't anything ever be simple? Can't we leave the strippers we have alone without demands for male strippers, hanar, and who knows what else? I mean do you really want to see a krogan wearing a banana hammock?

This is why we can't have nice things.

But in general, yes. No one here is calling for only male strippers in ME3, but for the representation of both male and female strippers. After all, even in the far-off future, men need to make money, too!

Seems like a waste of effort when you consider the strippers in ME1 and ME2 are just background flavor. Nobody loads up a game thinking "I'm going to watch some strippers on Omega! Hell yeah!"

Also male strippers in the same place as female strippers? All of the gentlemen's clubs I've been to only have female workers. I'd assume the same is true for men in gentlewomens(?) clubs?

This. I've never been to a bar or strip club that had male and female dancers. Im sure such clubs exist but in my 30 + years i've never experienced that.

I say we add more tbh. I say in the corridor to the final boss we have walls lined (on left and right) with naked females. BioWare should appeal to the straight male gamer some more.

While I don't mind this idea, I would like to point something out:

The demographics of Omega - overwhelmingly male population. The non-male population is primarily Asari. Even if there is a substantial non-straight male population on Omega, one would nevertheless expect that Asari are the best choice for appealing to the largest market in this context (appeals to straight males, and other Asari). So, while I would expect some variety available, I should also expect that business would be best with the vast majority being Asari, perhaps even to the extent that one would not encounter alternatives under normal circumstances.

First of all, it's the future. Comparing the errr 'entertainment' of mass effect to the local Beef Baron (really, that's the strip club in the south end of town) seems a little closed minded.

What were old west towns? Stores, bars and brothels. Omega is just the old west, but in space... and with aliens... and without all the horse crap.

Someone had mentioned that when they played fallout nv they were bothered by the male stripper hitting on them. I thought the male strippers were hilarious - although I never did find one that my character could sleep with (lame).

It just seems more realistic that in the future, they'd have clubs with drinks and dancers that cover the interests of as many patrons as possible.

Krogan in a banana hammock? Yes please.

FemShep goes to the strip club to admire a male specimen. Not to have a conversation about life. That's what LIs are for.

Realistically, male strippers do exist, but often you'll see that establishments tend to just have female strippers for very obvious reasons. Having male strippers on public display may be "fair," but it has the unfortunately possible side-effect of driving off the straight-male customers that the female strippers attract. Since the market for female strippers tends to be larger than for male ones, it's quite realistic for places to be one-sided on the matter.

EDIT: A brothel-type place, on the other hand, would be far more diverse.

EDIT 2: As a counter-argument, I feel that Omega's Afterlife had a bit of a missed opportunity. There were, as I recall, two different floors. If a nightclub wanted to please multiple orientations, having one floor full of sexy asari dancers and another with males would make sense.

Not that I blame BioWare itself for being one-sided, given that the gaming market also happens to lean toward favoring straight males... making concessions like a male/male romance option is one thing, as you can simply choose to ignore it if it repels you, but having male stripper-types on display for something other than a satirical reason might not be wise.

If they don't have any strippers at all in the third game, I will be super fine with it. But if they take their time to add scanty clad blue chicks, then they better add some guys too!

I agree about Omega (if Aria wants only asari strippers, no one will ask for something else), but what about Illium and Citadel?

And also, wouldn't it be fun to see interracial bachelorette party at Eternity, Sex and the City style, when girls discuss what they like about alien males?

Arrggg can´t you just read you are a woman but replace by the word gaymen ..
Or do i really have to spell everything out

You know damn well what i mean when i generalise .
Even you have different taste of men . then other gaymen .  and while your personal taste are different .
You even know what I mean with it , when gaymen above all know when somebody they are not attracted to.
Is pretty or not .

Since there is all this talk about realism and why things are the way they are. I wonder...

Bioware goes to the trouble of making FemShep. Awesome!
Then they give FemShep LIs. Great!
They make sure FemShep has a great voice actor, outfits, hair, and thank god, makeup....

But they just couldn't give us a little stripper action. I mean, I was a little uncomfortable having Kelly up for dinner because well... I'd heard the rumors and I didn't want her getting the wrong idea. I just wanted her to feed my fish. Why can't FemShep get a towel dance from one of the male crew members?

I just want to be able to say, I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite stripper on the citadel. Am I really asking for too much?

That is a dirty stereotype.
Not all gays are like that - and most gays are not like women.

I would have the utmost respect for Harbinger's tastes then.

I think this could be done in 1 day: Make one model or use some model that's already made. Give it the same movements as Shepard when he dances. Put it in a bar. That's all.

It's not exactly a huge overhaul of the game.

No no. It should be naked pictures of Shepard no matter the gender. So Shepard can stare in horror before rushing off to fight Harbinger while being beet red with the squaddies laughing their a**es off.
