Potentially, as he's an awesome character. We'll see, though. Like Walter 'o Dim in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, it would be extremely disappointing if he went out with a whimper.

Given that the Illusive Man evidentally fails at fighting as of Retribution, I doubt there'll be a boss fight with the man himself.

Given that the Illusive Man evidentally fails at fighting as of Retribution, I doubt there'll be a boss fight with the man himself.

He could always just jump inside a gunship or a mech or something along those lines

Aside from the ending battle, yes, fighting Illusive bro will be epic.
And I too want a boss battle, after which I can take over Cerberus if I want.
