Surprised to find you cant load your save because your DLC is UNAUTHORIZED? I know I was. Before you get your knickers in a knot, untuck your panties and head on over to EA SUPPORT. As the name would suggest the support or what you want - the solution to your problem can be found there in particular:

Reading the forum has made me wonder why their are so many people angry at EA/Bioware. Mistakes happen at every company. Every computer in this world is different. That is what support sites are for. Check it out. It really does work the fix they provide. When you eat a Big Mac nobody expects Grimace to come over and wipe your **** when you get the ****$ later on.
EA SUPPORT has the answer to your problem in their advanced search section. As long as your copy is legit!

My copy is legit, I purchased it on Steam.
Look around the forums and you'll see that the "solutions" provided by EA Support either don't work, or are partially broken.
The only real solution is to log out, disable auto-login, and restart the game. However, this only works if you've already authorized your content at least once in the past.

I got this game like, two days ago, and suddenly now I can't play it. I would have gladly used that fix, if it worked. It just did nothing for me.
I just tried logging out, and suddenly my game is working again.
My one question is, will playing logged out affect my content later in the game when the servers are working properly? Will I lose anything I might have earned? Or will the DLC just work when I log in with it again on that character?

The biggest reason for me: The lack of any official word from Bioware on the issue. I've wasted hours this weekend trying to get this game working. The "RequiresAuthorization" trick doesn't work, BTW. It will allow me to access the saved games, but the content isn't there. Others are reporting that EA Support is telling them the authorization servers are down. Where is the official notice??
Beyond all the issues of whether or not a single-player game should even require online authorization every time before it's played, is just the plain lack of courtesy to the paying customers.
If EA/Bioware had posted something, somewhere, stating "You can't play the game, we're working on it, sorry for the inconvenience", me and all the others having issues could have spent those countless hours doing something else. Instead, over 24 hours later, still nothing but silence.

NVM, nothing seems to be available in-game. Awesome.

I've tried the modify the .XML file solution but even though the Save game loads, I've lost all the items and characters that I had collected through the DLC so there's no point in continuing from there.
Anyone has any idea when it will be fixed ? The game was running fine friday morning.

Soon™, 1-365 days.
The reason most (Or well at least I am) are pissed off is the fact that since we own the legit copy, we shouldnt have to run it offline and pray it authorizes itself, it shouldnt requrie .xml edits that break the content... Our biggest worry should be getting killed and having to start a while back because we were retarded enough not to save.
Basicly what I am saying is, paying -should- be more convinient than piracy. As for now, those of us who either want to play and have reinstalled or have bought the game recently, maybe to have a character to port to DA2, are finding out that this isnt more convinient...

I have to agree with Layman. If Bioware is more concerned with their full pockets as opposed to the people who line those pockets their customers. Then this should never have happened. We have every right to complain considering we purchased the product. We did not lease it. Whether it be by mistake or not they are denying us access to a property that we are lawful owners of. This is not right. Bioware's anti-piracy protocol is infringing on our own right to ownership of a property.
