So has anybody seen the actual pic in the magazine (I don't mean the low-quality leaked cam pic)?

If so, does she look any different? (Skin color, eye color)

Linking it on this forum will cause banination, but feel free to google it.

Anyway, the magazine shows what seems to be a preliminary model of her (not sure if it's the final version). She's wearing a blue jumpsuit-thing (about as armored as Liara's) and her hair is down.

With the lack of armor, bigger boobs, and abandonment of a military hairstyle, there have been many complaints (several of them from me) that she has been "Miranda-fied," but just as many are starting to regret cheating on her.

Same skin colour, eye colour, face. Just lighter eyebrows, bigger boobs, hair and hair colour.

I don't know. Miranda is like your own personally bioengineered barbie doll ala Cerberus. It's hard to beat her in terms of sex appeal. Even the ME 2 camera agrees with me.

^ I've seen that pic, but it's very low quality. She is hardly recognizable in that pic. Therefore unable to tell if her skin tone or eye color are different.

So I'm curious if anyone has actually bought/read the magazine and can verify some of that stuff.

You know, that could just be her casual look and outfit. Don't think she'll head into battle looking like that... at least I hope so :)

Are you all serious? I'd recognize her as Ashley immediately, even without the captions. She has the same face, the same jawline, the same skin tone, the same everything. The only thing that changed is that she let her hair down.

What Cheez said.

Bioware, I know you have to cater to the men. But can't you design another character instead of turning Ashley into Miranda?

I preferred ME1 Ashley. Tough and real.

Not this catsuit wearing, long haired, big breasted, Miranda clone.

She's a soldier, make her look like one.

Edit: Maybe that's a little extreme, but I think you get the idea. Oh well, sucks for those of us who liked her ME1 character for what it was...<_<

You have to admit, the boobs ARE bigger...  And after Miranda and Jack in ME2, one can understand why people are cautious about this whole thing.

Here's hoping she's still the character we know and love/hate from ME1.

What in the hell are you people talking about? Was she half naked in that picture or something? NO. She had her hair down and wasn't wearing armor, and YOU people are freaking out about it. About nothing.

You can whine and complain about it all you want. In the end you'll still be wrong.

I don't thnik they're bigger, perhaps she's not wearing a bra? IDK, I do hear it's a lot more comfortable w/o one.

Yeah, sometimes I think that people thought she wore that armor 24/7 and never changed her hair.

In any case, she really creates a buzz. How Ashley topics in two days? Four or five and the greater part created by non fans of Ashley. T______T

You have your opinion, but thank you to remain as honest as possible.

It is obvious that Ashley can wear armor, if we have another system customization. It 's better if she can wear armor AND civilianattire is not it?

Can you believe that Ashley is what ? Thank you avoid cliche. Ashley is a woman, Ashley is not just an ordinary soldier, only a soldier who can't keep civilian clothes, Ashley is not always a badass. Ashley is much more than that, grow up.

You do not say that the alliance should have a strict cut ? Do you know what became of her? Maybe she is corsair ? Spectre ? Do you know what 's going on in M3 ? No.

There was also a lot of people happy with the change, which many fans of Ashley. And among those who have expressed a concern, they hoped she had just kept her personality.

What is clear to me, because Mark Walter has always respected the personality of its wonderful characters. We could already see the evolution of Tali and Liara. Seriously need to stop panicking for nothing, there are still eight months, stay calm.

And Liara, you did not like her ? It sounds yes if I remember... yet she also had bigger breasts in shadow broker, ( so i don't like this excuse from you ) has changed graphically. Ashley, Exactly the same as Liara ...

We want Ashley M3 in m3, not Ashley from M1 in M3. Same personality, but not a repetition, not  a glimpse of yesteryear,....

Anyway Those who complain are always the same . And among them, many anti-ashley, who find a new excuse to complain, I've found some.

Are you all serious? I'd recognize her as Ashley immediately, even without the captions. She has the same face, the same jawline, the same skin tone, the same everything. The only thing that changed is that she let her hair down.

Frankly, I wonder if they have eyes .... I recognized at first glance, the face is the same. Ashley is easily recognizable.

Highly doubt she'll wear that into combat. Goes against her "heavy duty combat soldier" vibe she had ME1.

While most of us understand that the picture probably shows her causal, non-combat outfit, we are still concerned that the importance of proper combat gear will be bypassed in the name of sex appeal yet again.

EDIT: @Sylvianus: Understood completely, but it's not so much about passing judgment after only one picture as it is Bioware's changing policy on female character design in general.  Compare ME1/DAO with ME2/DA2 and you'll see what I mean.

Ashley's popularity was largely due to how down-to-earth and "real" she was as a character.  Her looks were never exaggerated, and no effort was ever made to point out how "hawt" and "smexy" she was.  It was part of her appeal--a remarkable deviation from the typical approach to women in video games.  We just don't want to lose that, and the GI image has us a little worried.

Letting her hair flow free so a krogan can rip it out by the roots is smart

There was such a huge uproar over the lack of armour over Miranda / Jack etc...I don't believe BioWare would let it slide again.

I mean..they went as far as making an armour set FOR Miranda.  So I'm optimistic...just hope her armour does tuck those puppies in a bit more like the good ol phoenix armour did.

I sure hope this "new" look isn´t an excuse to get her to wear breath masks in combat too.

It's hard to say looking at the pic. We don't see the whole outfit. It does look like light armor though, and not civilian clothes. The suit is reinforced and it looks like her arms/shoulders are armored. Plus, it's the same color as Kaidan's new armor (which, granted, are just Alliance colors).

I understand that.. But I find it annoying that people think they have everything figured out, when there isn't too much evidence their claim, except a picture of Ashley with her hair down, wearing some sort of leather suit.

But apparently she's some ****ty Mirandafied **** now.
