Do you think Enhanced Cloak would be a lot more useful and a legitimate alternative to Assassination Cloak if instead of an extended durration it didn't pause your health and shield regeneration?
As it stands Enhanced Cloak seems useless to me. At best it gives you a few extra steps more than Assassination Cloak, but not much else. When I first played the game I didn't realize cloak wore-off as soon as you fired a weapon so I figured the extended durration would lead to more damage with rapid-fire weapons. Instead it is... pretty useless.
Does anyone think this would be broken?
Also, did anyone else notice that reloading no longer seems to drop your cloak? (Update with Arrival?)

Being invisible and untargetable for a longer time and also healing. Perhaps with limited regen, say half as fast as normal, otherwise it might be OP.

Regen at half speed would be reasonable I think. The emphasis is less on cloak for damage and more as a panic button. Only now instead of only being able to flee you can also heal.

Yeah, that would make sense to me, the longer duration gives you more time to run for cover for example.

It would also give you more freedom in combat since you could run through the crossfire and not get killed as easily.

Longer cloak also means more chance for your teammate to die because you are no longer the target.

So shoot something to cancel the effect.
@ OP: Basically, the choice is between a longer amount of time to move around unmolested versus the option to hit harder while attacking cloaked. Like Ken versus Ryu, it's a personal style issue, which is why you get two choices.

The problem is like with many evolutions while it is a "style" choice, there is also an objectively better choice. You can styalisitcally take the weaker option, and you can probably find a way to make it work well with a certain strategy, but it is worse.

In the case of EC vs AC, EC is vastly better for CQC-type Infiltrators, while AC is better for the classic Sniper Infiltrator.
Limited regen for EC sounds okay, but for CQC Infiltrators, the increased cloaking time is usually pretty important.

I could get behind EC having longer cloak time, no damage modifiers, and does not affect health/shield regens. Then have AC have shorter cloak time, damage modifiers, but block regens.
Then one could be used for sneaking/positioning, and the other for cloacked cqc/1s1k.
Good idea!
