I have an issue where when I land on a planet, I can't use "E" on any of the land based objects. For instance: I drive up to a mineral deposit, it says it's a thorium deposit, but I have no survey option. If I hit escape (to bring up the menu) the option shows up briefly while the menu screen comes up but is gone after I exit the menu. This happens with all planet based objects: Debris, crashed probes, deposits, anything that is on the ground.


I have tried this on two different planets now with the same results. I can't imagine that it's a skill issue, as it would give the option and just tell me it's too low. It's also not a skill issue because I can't imagine you would need a skill to recover a turian corpse (same behavior when I hit escape, though).


I have tried changing to windowded and tried launching the game from the application itself (as opposed to the Steam launcher). When I'm in the Citadel or on the Normandy, the options show up just fine (scanning the keepers worked no problem).



Any ideas?
