Why not? As long as we can have female versions of the already seen races first. I think it's best to develop what we already have, but after that, go for it.

I would rather see that virtual alien ship. It would make for an awesome mission if we had to go into there virtual world to get Reaper data.

No, no, NO! They don't even have any real presence outside of their homeworld.
I want female turians and batarians, even an implied female volus. No new races, please. Let's finish fleshing out the ones we introduced in ME1.

Go read the comics then, I'm pretty sure there was a turian female in there, and maybe a batarian female. And I'm pretty sure the batarian female would be ugly as hell. Volus, no difference except for a higher pitched voice.
