Player profiles last updated 2011-03-16 03:43:02 GMT. Click here to see what I'm talking about. Why aren't they updating? I have like 5 characters that aren't showing up.

Data is updated as frequently as possible - progress in-game may take up to an hour to appear here.

Is what it says, but it has been over a month already with no update.

I've checked some people's profiles and they have been updated. I think it updates only when people view your profile. Could someone click my profile like 10 times?

Mine hasn't updated since march 14th, apparently. :/ I've been having intermittent internet access issues, so I thought that was it, but I've been playing for about four hours tonight while connected and still no updates past the fourteenth of last month.

Is the patch required to update or something? I wouldn't think so, but hey, I'm pretty nooby. Or, is it something on the site's end?

(Just to show just how un-updatey it is, my profile still has three characters on it: two males (level 9 and 1), one female (level 15). Since 03/14/2011, I've completed DA2 five times, and have seven characters. :X)

My character list shows 6 characters, none of which actually exist anymore. It's showing neither of my current characters, doesn't show all unlocks I've got as well as not showing any of my recent achievements.

I've tried logging in and out of the forums/site here, as well as logging in and out of my EA/BW account while playing DA2 (well I've had to since I loose connection every now and again)... and still not updating my records here.

What is extremely puzzling is - this only effects my DA2 profile. My DA:O/A profile is updating just fine with the few test characters I've recently made to test some stuff out. So I have no idea whats going on.. DA:O/A profile is updating.. but not DA2...

If you're on PC, did you enable the developer console? When it's enabled, the game won't update your profile on the online servers.

If you've not enabled the dev console, or if you're on 360/PS3 then I don't know what would be causing the lack of updates. On your "Games" tab next to DA2 did you try clicking the "activate profile" link a few times to see if it forces an update?

Right now, the EA servers are in shambles and nothign works properly. So don't expect it to work right now. Might be hours, days, or weeks till they fix it.

However, Hawke: you just solved the problem why I wasn't able to update my profile! One of my elf characters would like to french kiss you! ("It's not gay if it's an elf.")

Okay...well...my DA2 profiles updated, but not my Origins profiles.

You're not the only one having problems. And I can't seem to fix mine, because I have an apostrophe in my character's name...what a wonky system.

I'll disable it so it can update, then re-enable it. xD How long does it take..? =X

nevermind, they're showing up, slowly. xD wondering when it's going to update that one of the characters is deleted though? ;x I seem to have to log into each character individually to update their info...

It's still showing character's I've deleted, but at least it is showing my current character and the achievements I've earned.

There isn't currently any way to delete characters from DA2 profiles.  Hopefully they'll add that feature to the site eventually.

Yeah, PC only.  It enables debug commands that let you play around with the game in ways not normally possible (i.e., giving your character tons of money).

Which profile are you having trouble with - Origins or DA2?  You mentioned you have a character with an apostrophe in the name.  Is that the only character that isn't showing up, or are no characters updating at all?

Origins Characters seem to be updating. I was able to get some up last night. I think my DA2 character was the one that borked my profile, cause its the one with the apostrophe.

For the record, here is my Online Storage Profile



The top one, K'yehlar is from DA2. I have been running a mage, that is well into Act II, and it has yet to upload. So I seem to be quite borked. EA Support couldn't do anything...mainly because I'm not sure if they speak English well enough or not...

Hmm...I thought that profile diagnostics page only shows Origins characters. Just checked mine and it doesn't show any of my DA2 characters. Do you (or did you at any point) have a character in Origins named the same way, with the apostrophe?

While you play DA2 are you connected to the internet and signed into Xbox Live and to your EA account in-game? In the game's options menu, is the option to upload player profile (or something to that effect) enabled?

If yes to all of the above, then I'm not sure what else could be causing your profile not to update.

As far as I can remember, I never had another character with the name K'yehlar. Unless it was my very first character, which I doubt...

And yes to all the rest concerning my XBL, and EA Account name and options.

Shasow, to "force" a profile upload, you can do the following: in-game, take the armor off your character, then put it back on. Then do a "proper save", not a quick-save. Wait a bit, (can be hours or days), then the profiles should update.
