First, the forum post is from '09, before ME2 even came out.

Second, the entire forums would have been blown up by now if that were true.

Reasons it's bullsh*t:

1. Garrus was only recently confirmed as squaddie by Game Informer, two days ago.

2. Do you really, with all the hype that has been going on in the past two days, REALLY think a message like that would have landed and we haven't heard anything about it until now?

Between Cheez, Me, CulturalGeekGirl, Phaedon, and EVERYFREAKINGBODY else... Do you REALLY think it would have slipped past us?

ME3 is going to involve whatever massive showdown between the Quarians and the Geth they've been building up, which will most likely involve Tali and Legion to a large degree whether they're squadmates or not. This is not the same as Wrex sitting on a big chair passing out quest info.

It's official, TIM has used reaper technology that Cerberus recovered and implanted Tali forcing her to serve Cerberus. Apparently she will be a miniboss who appears throughout Mass Effect 3- a quarian husk. Shepard and co are constantly having to fight her off.
