I'm pleased to announce the release of Harvest of Chaos: King's Festival + Queen's Harvest v2.00. This release adds hours of additional adventuring to King's Festival v1.00 released in May 2009 (thread here) and includes many new areas and new challenges and a few unique companions. Players of King's Festival v1.00 can continue by loading their saved game and speaking to Aralic the cleric, or just start from the beginning again.

Features of the rest, death, crafting, and ILR systems can be customized by editing the campaign options and crafting options 2da files using any text editor. No requirement to use the toolset to alter scripts to customize these game behaviors.

Uses the SoZ Party Editor and also includes several pre-built companions including Amie from West Harbor.

No complicated install process, only a campaign folder and modules. No modifications to standard 2da's or additional haks required.

Designed to be compatible with Kaedrin's PrC Pack. Also Macintosh compatible. Should also be Steam compatible.

Requires both the MotB and SoZ expansions be installed.

If you haven't been to the land of Karameikos before, what are you waiting for?

Available in the Vault now here.

Regards

Congratulations on the release of this follow-up, Kaldor!

I enjoyed King's Festival very much, and I can't wait to get around to playing this one. It's great to have another SoZ-party creation campaign out there.

Harumph!

Just uploaded a patch to the vault for KF 2.00. The patch affects the resting/fatigue system and makes the following changes:
- Characters will no longer become fatigued at the very start of the game
- Characters will be able to rest once at the start of game even if the minimum number of hours has not passed. This is to facilitate initial spell caster setup. (The Hungry Halfling tavern keeper allows resting if you have a few gold to spare and have not yet left the inn.)
- Time spent in conversations or peacefully standing still will no longer count toward fatigue or toward the minimum rest requirement. This means that "8 hours between resting" means 8 hours of actual adventuring (not just standing still) is required between rests. This also means though that fatigue will not set in until 20 hours of active adventuring has taken place. The primary benefit of this is that leveling up or rearranging inventory will not count toward fatigue.
- Fatigue will no longer lower the strength or dexterity of a character below 4.

Anyone who installed v2.00 of King's Festival is encouraged to install this patch, but it is not absolutely required since the game functions without it.

Regards

Just uploaded a second patch to the vault for KF 2.00. This patch corrects a few conversations with inn keepers to make them compatible with the fatigue effects. They were incorrectly removing the effects only when spoken to by the main PC. Now the effects are removed regardless of who in the party speaks with them.
