Since I didn't play Leliana's Song (she grates on me like mad) I don't know if Sketch is prone to malaprops.
If he is, then his response to Hawke, "My reputation precludes me" is funny. If not, then the writing team needs better proofreaders (and localizers, thinking of rite/right here. I work in localization and when I catch inconsistencies like that, I always push back to the client for consistency.)
So which is it? Amusing writing? Or wrongworddammit?

Heh, I've been wondering the same thing. I didn't realize he was a character from DA:O DLC, though. That might explain it...

Considering he was being attacked by how many nations cause of stories from Leliana. I'd say precludes was clever word play

I am quite sure that this is an attempt at humours play with words and cliché phrases (I consider the line "my reputation precedes me" to be a bit cliché). I very much doubt it is simply a misstake.
