Like the thread title says, whenever I try to install BDtS or PS the installer will quit and say "~installation failed."  At which point I can only click finish and the installer will exit.  BDtS will do this after I input the registration key correctly (if I don't then it will simply exist as say that my key was invalid).  PS will load up to the progress bar and begin installing at which point it will exit around 10% installation.  I would like to replay ME and ME2 in preparation for ME3, and while it this problem won't stop me from playing the original sans dlc, I would like to see it fixed so that I might have the full ME experience.

I know this is old thread but I don't want to start new one since my problem is same with Pinnacle Station meaning it stops installing around 10% and I get message installation failed.

Game distribution and patch level?
Windows Version and service pack level?
Disabled AV and firewall and tried to install?
Disabled UAC and/or run the installer as admin?

Weird, problem got fixed after I installed Bring Down the Sky O_o

I wonder if BDtS had something with it that was needed for Pinnacle? That makes no sense, but I can't think of anything else.

Also, it seems that running Origin may be a fix to many of the "trying to reinstall my old ME game and DLC" problems. Unfortunately for me, I hate Origin.
