I don't think the "clustered" option works with it, so, thoughts?

Never found it to be successful initially so I stopped trying... but maybe "enemy at short range?" Like I said, I attempted this once on Carver and he would Scythe for no reason and not hit anybody, so I'm only guessing.

I think the point is that the OP doesn't want to waste it on a single enemy. I just don't care, I do Cleave, Scythe in that order anyway. Mighty Blow I save for an Elite+, and I save Whirlwind for clustered.

What would be nice is a way set the tactics such that the rest of my party doesn't get scythed down. Ended up having to disable it and use manual control, ff is the most annoying way to die...

Yeah, attack mook attacking ranged party member + Scythe mid or long range combo is the best way to kill yourself in spectaculary stupid ways.
The only usable tactics option is attack Hawke's target, and just micro everything else, the AI is so dumb.

For whatever reason, he'd use Scythe out of range, and stop short of actually hitting the target... happened pretty often so I gave up.Darqion wrote...

Also, if this topic is about Nightmare difficulty, then yeah, it's probably better to forget this idea. Otherwise you'll just end up killing your team repeatedly... :/

If Scythe is out of range, check the original Tactics for Fenris. Something like:
Target is between short and medium range -> Scythe
I've never ran into that, actually.
