There seems to be a problem with the DRM servers at the EA end of things.  I'm not a techie so I don't understand the ins and outs but I think that's the jist of it.

I've just been told by a rather useless chappie on the EA Support site that things should be fixed within 24 hours.

So don't re-install your game or spend time trying to work through all the fixes on the various stickies here.  Just wait and hopefully things will be up and running again sometime tomorrow.

Hope I'm not out of turn posting this - I know other people have been working really hard for ages trying work things out.  But I thought, seeing as how EA doesn't seem to be about to make any announcement, it would be worth putting a note up.

I probably sound like a nubcake! x)

Edit: - In fact, I'm definitely a nubcake because RaenImrahl has been totally on the case all the time and has posted edited updates in his original post.  So for all the up-to-the-minute info go to his thread, in this forum, here.  So sorry for my over-eager, noisy post. x(

Why Bioware team doesnt say anything about this? this is ridiculous, I really paid for this?
Im too frustrated, that will be my last time i Pay for a Game with DRMs that only affect to the legal players.... what a shame of bioware team.

The EA servers have been dealing with a few things lately. Recently there was a possible security breach reported on these forums so work may be ongoing to deal with that. Also with an influx of new players since the offer to get Mass Effect 2 coming onto the servers it's been a bit of a heavy week. Normal service should resume soon. So there might be a couple of hiccups like not being able to log in the servers but it shouldn't last too long.

Check out RaenImrahl's posts though he might have some things you could try to see if you can get it working. That little hard worker is always on the case.

Cuz they are having fun right now with the money you gave them for their broken game and DLCs while you can't have any fun with what you payed for.

They need to patch this game and don't do it. Modders made so many fixes for this game i don't understand why they can't do it. Now i'm waiting 2 days just to play my game .... Bioware is just lazy!

The joys of DRM to stop piracy, you can see its really working for those who buy the game through legit means

I dont see why companies decide that game structres that require you to log on and authenticate with a server on a single player game is beating piracy. People are cleaver, DA:O + DLC has been cracked for some time now, so has DA2... and they can happily play content without this unautherised bug. Drop the idea of trying to come up with new exciting ideas to tackle piracy because its simply not working... your hitting your fans rather than the pirates.

Hey guys. I have had a similar problem. All the DLC in the Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition is listed as downloaded but unauthorized. Can only play the main campaign, Awakening and return to ostagar. All other DLC is listed as unauthorized, saying I need to log in with the account that purchased it in the first place... I only have the one account. Bought dragon age through Origin, downloaded and I can't play half of the content. Sigh.
Thanks for helping me though. Feel better that Im not crazy/done something silly. Will keep an eye out.
