Any ideas on what is happening and how I can fix it? (I did check through search first but could not find an answer)

I know that the Seneschal is supposed to die defending the gates but the problem is he won't. Even with his health bar empty he continues fighting. I deleted the game I was playing and started again and removed all mods in case there was a conflict, but in the next run through the same thing is happening. Any suggestions before my PC goes flying through the window?

Shameless bump - I had contacted EA Support who suggested going through the forums looking for help. Do they not know how many complaints about possible bugs there are????

You know, I never played that ending. However, it appears it is replete with bugs, according to http://dragonage.wik...of_Vigil's_Keep
Mods may be a factor... how far back did you go when you restarted? One possibility is to restart before you make the decision to fight at either the city or the keep.

Edit - just read through the Wiki article which says a cutscene should start showing Varel fighting when I approach teh gates after killing all the Children at the East Wall. I know that they are all dead as I doubel checked in case I had missed something. This would appear to be the problem.
Still waiting on any further contact from EA support but as their last reply said I was welcome to post in the forums and gave me $20 dollar discount for the Store I got the feeling that they were finished with the issue.

Just to speed along the process, could you post your hardware specs and OS information?
Thanks,

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300 @2.5Ghz
2.7 Gb available RAM
GE Force GE240 (1 GB VRAM)
Widows 7 64 bit
(I know RAM is an issue as cannot use recommended settings but have had no issues. On saying that getting a new motherboard and more RAM tomorrow)
As to the pathing the Guard Captain had an arrow above his head which disappeared during the Children fight. That may be part of it as he was the one who was telling me where to go kill beasts.

No slow down or choppiness and the game has been fine during much busier fights. As to resolution I have lowered the settings as I knew that there was a memory issue with the game. I will try again once the computer is upgraded just in case as it does struggle if I play for too long.
Are you reinstalling Windows w/ your new hardware? I ask because there is always the "nuclear option"... backing up your saved games and doing a full uninstall/reinstall of the games. I don't suggest this lightly, of course.

Thanks - had searched the forums - not too sure how I missed that. I will try it out tonight and see if that does the trick. If it does, you will get my thanks. If not the scream of frustration may deafen Glasgow.
Well, let us know either way... if it does work, I'll make that link more prominent, somehow.
