Hello guys, in my first playthrough, after Act 1 completed, I lost Bethany in my team, she is still appeared in the screen when I choose the companions but cannot pick her! I read some forums and it say that actually we can bring Bethany back in the game (maybe they have confirmed this on PC). But in my case, it is on Mac OS and I don't know how to do it. Would you please recommend me something to do? I appreciate it:)
Can I bring back Bethany in Act 2 in Mac Os version?

Could you link the PC instructions? It's probably possible to figure out what to do from those.
PS. You'll likely see some glitches if you bring back a character in this way btw. Spoilerish: If she still lives, I wouldn't be surprised if she's meant to do a cameo later.

Just edit your save file, or use the console to add her into your party. Otherwise, you need to wait until the end of the game to get her back. The methods are identical between PC and Mac, albeit you'll need a Parallels install or Bootcamp to edit your own save files. The console, however, is the same in both versions.
This shouldn't cause any glitches, but do create a backup save beforehand. The biggest issue you should encounter is that Bethany simply has no dialogue for a while.
I'm currently in the middle of a playthrough where I brought Carver back from the dead (I wanted a second warrior in my party, and I don't care for Aveline or Fenris). No issues whatsoever so far.

The specific console command you want is runscript zz_bet_debug — follow the options on screen and you'll be able to get her back in your active party.

@Noctaris: I've tried to use the file and follow the instruction of the guide that I've found, but the file cannot used in my Mac. Maybe it is only for Windows. So the best to do is to turn to Win, do the instruction with the saved file, and then bring back to Mac? Well it is a little confusion and complicated, but if it is the only way, i should take a chance.
Anyway, is there any version of that editor for Mac? So far I know it is only available for Win

There is no save editor for OS X at this time. You need to open your .das save file in pyGFF on a Windows install, be it Parallels, Bootcamp, or another computer. Then follow the instructions here on unlocking a locked party member.
Save the file in pyGFF, get it back into OS X, and replace your old one.
There's no chance to take. All you're doing is toggling the variable that tells the game that Bethany is available on the party select screen.
As far as your saved game is concerned, Bethany never leaves; she's still on the party list. There's just a single-digit variable that causes her to be locked on the party select screen until a specific point in Act 3.

Thanks a lot. I should try it in the Win OS. Or maybe try with some experience without her present, that's not bad, though!

pyGFF can be run in wine, though it takes a bit of skill. Perhaps someone can put together a winebottler recipe, winebottler.kronenberg.org
