Simplifying this topic. Do you think if Alistair is married or having a relationship with the warden, that there will likely be a child from the pair in future installments? Either way, I think it would be terribly awkward, though no more so than the coming future Morrigan god baby I suppose.

Wardens have fertility issues, no matter who Alistair or your warden is with it is unlikely that they would ever have a child. I doubt any player character in the dragon age series is ever going to have kids as part of the game.

Yeah, I remember reading that. I still hope there isn't some miracle warden baby, though.

BioWare aren't going to change their plans based on an unsupported fan mod.

I used the saved game editor to make my female Warden impregnate Morrigan and marry Anora. And Leliana called my Warden a 'he!' :o

How could you BioWare?

I wouldn't expect them or want them to. I still don't want my warden to have a baby though!

No offense, but I find this thread to be pretty unreasonable.

I'm not requesting anything of Bioware, I'm asking people's opinions on if they think there is going to be a miracle warden baby. Did I magically write a demand from Bioware asking them to change their future plotlines based on a fan mod while I wasn't looking?

I hope not. Baby Warden is best left to fanfiction.

from the books it infers that Fiona an elven GW is the mother of Alistair, so im thinking mb its just the GW vs GW that really really lowers the fertility chances, so I too do not see them having lil ones, altho Im totally incensed that Alistair thinks he can have a baby with some noble hunter that doesnt have the taint... well... as to that why not just do the surrogate thingy, and the warden that is Alistairs LI can be the acting parent...
LOL in truth their is so much crap going on around the Warden I cant imagine trying to raise a kiddo in that situation.
I wanted to use the mod to marry AListair but it never worked for me, he kept insisting since my warden was an elf and a commoner it couldnt happen... I had a really early version tho, but truly those mods are for our enjoyment and not really part of BW sanction game play. It would be so cool tho if BW could use an idea by one of those talented peeps tho, they do awesome work.
On a nother Note did anyone see the NExus Golem>? I totally had to laugh , Kudos to DANEXUS for the recognition of its awesome website/mods and community!

Yeah the mod I used actually let anyone marry Alistair, so for my original DAO save,  Alistair was married to a male elf mage.

It's not in the plans for them to have a baby together. But I still hope it might happen.

The old-god baby has to appear at some point. My warden did touch the ashes of Andraste. If it brought Arl Eamon back from death. Why can't it heal her enough from the taint so she and Alistair can have a baby? Alistair got Morrigan pregnant through magic. Why can't Alistair get the warden pregnant through a miracle?

Yes. He's a miracle. He's totally not Zevran's. Stop looking at his ears.

Well, Maric had a miracle baby with a GW, an elf who had actually been a warden for a considerable amount of time... I speculate that Theirins could be hyper-fertile, have some form of innate immunity to the taint or the conception of a GW child is necessary to counterbalance something else...

DAO Zevran, or DA2 Zevran? Because I think between DAO and DA2 Zevran's skin has become made of rubber... So then you would have a rubber miracle warden baby.

from what I gather, warden/non-warden can still have babies, though its a slimmer chance. Warden/warden on the other hand.. Theiren bloodline or no, I doubt very much that's going to be possible ;p

Well, Alistair said that due to the tainted blood it wouldn't be likely that a warden will receive/create a child, even more unlikely that two wardens will. However, this statement is based on Alistairs experience with the wardens and he hasn't been a warden that long after all when you first meet him.

In my playthrough he is the father of Morrigan's baby, so it was either the ritual or he isn't as infertile as he thought he would be.

I like to believe that nothing is impossible. And I don't believe it would be awkward if Alistair and the warden really got a child together. On the contrary, I'd be happy for my warden. Though the whole thing might be a bit tricky, given that she is his mistress ;).

What I find interesting is the question how the blood of two wardens would effect the baby? Would it be a "normal" baby or would the baby's blood be tainted as well?

Either way I think that if there is a baby, you probably won't see much of it. I mean it would be boring if Alistair and the warden had to stay at home to look after their offspring, so they would need a nurse to do this for them.

EDIT: Ah, I didn't know the story of Alistair's mother. That's certainly interesting.

Exactly:D

I figure, lets just leave it at "They loved happily ever after till the warden magically disapeared with Hawke! I'm not sure my Queen Cousland would have run off and left Alistair alone.. but then since my Hawke didn't run off with out Fenris, I'll just assume that they called Anora to babysit the country in their absence:innocent:

"We'll be back. we got.. uh.. stuff.. to do. You're in charge till we get back!":kissing:

If you have a PM from Gaider to that effect, do let us in on the news.

Fiona's baby is beside the point, though, because that was a Warden and a non-Warden conceiving, not two Wardens.

Well, no. As has been stated, often, two grey wardens, both with very reduced fertility, are unlikely (read very very very unlikely, as in probably not going to) to conceive. So, no.

There seems to be trend lately of threads positing the OGB as canon. A lot of Origins play throughs had no DR and no Alistair getting it on with a female warden. I suppose Bioware could decide to make either canon at their whim....but as of now they haven't. As far as I know of course, I don't claim to be the expert on Bioware's plans for the future.

The Magic 8 Ball says you're wrong. David's never confirmed nor denied who Alistair's mom really is ;p "Mysterious Serving Woman" doesn't strike me as very Marric ;p
