I think.. that if David wants F!Cousland and Alistair to have babies, then we'll have babies. Until then, I'm content in knowing in my personal cannon my F!cousland is still leading Alistair around by his boy-parts ;)

Well, if you took up Morrigan's deal then you know that you at least have an Old God Baby. I wonder what it would be like, taking the OGB to preschool and trying to keep him from eating the other children...

Wouldn't the baby be born with the taint? I thought that was why Morrigan had to have me for the ritual, because Riordan would've passed on too much of the taint. If so, a tainted baby would be pretty much the exact opposite of a miracle.

In the link that Aris Ravenstar posted Mr Gaider said the child of a warden would be untainted.

Ok, I'm assuming the same goes for a non-warden and a female warden? That the child is untainted? Same would go for if 2 wardens get a child miraculously?

Right.

I dont really think its fair that male warden who sleeps with morrigan gets to have a child and if marries anora after possibly have a child with her also since shes not tainted
while on the other hand femwarden only gets a semi happy ending until she dissapears

Well, this is pure speculation on my part, but I doubt somehow that the male warden, Morrigan and the god child would be anything like a happy, normal family. Obviously there is a burden that Morrigan is struggling with and whatever it is, I could imagine that it has an impact on their relationship. So, I'm not so sure if I would really envy the male warden here.

but on the other hand that guy from the keep dlc "the old bugger mage" (as i like to call him) could help femwarden with the whole having an heir thing since hes doing experiments to benifit the wardens right?
now I do recall David mentioning that it might be a possiblity if there was some sort of feritlity magic or somthing that the femwarden could use

Yes, he said:

Well... just because it's never happened doesn't mean it never could, I suppose. There are always exceptions. So if you involve some mysterious Tevinter fertility charm... why not? Really I'm just talking about the fact that Grey Wardens never produce offspring together naturally. Unnaturally is an entirely different story.

This works for me. So, maybe the architect finds a way to cure the taint or maybe Avernus comes up with a mysterious potion that will make it possible for two wardens to have a child together. So, the whole thing would definitely require powerful magic or even a little miracle. Otherwise it's not going to happen. That being said, I don't believe BioWare will go down this path. Bummer. Sigh.

Simplifying this topic. Do you think if Alistair is married or having a relationship with the warden, that there will likely be a child from the pair in future installments? Either way, I think it would be terribly awkward, though no more so than the coming future Morrigan god baby I suppose.

I my "perfect" game save ( the one I imported into DA2) my Warden ended up marrying Alistair and they are now ruling Fereldon together.... so in my Fereldon, all things are possible. Edit: Upon further thinking about it, I don't think it's even possible Alistair and my Warden to have children naturally, even in my Ferelden. It goes against all the lore. Two Grey Wardens may be able to have a child unnaturally... through some type of dark magic, I suppose... but I had already forced my poor Alistair to do one dark magic sex ritual already, so I really can't see me asking him to do another one. Plus...my Warden is way too busy for kids... being Queen... being the Warden-Commander at Vigils Keep.. chasing after all those talking mutated Darkspawn... and keepig my Hubby-King from eating way too much cheese. LOL!

However, I don't see the DA writers including a storyline about a possible Alistair/Warden child in any future installments. I don't think that this would be a viable plot for their overall idea of where the DA games are heading. There is just too many variables in making this story line work... and I don't think it wold add anything to the overall story that the writers are trying to tell (granted I have no idea where the writers are heading or will ultimately end up.. so I can't speak for them).

The Morrigan old god/baby storyline is different... this can work because it is an actual storyline that the PC can choose... the DA writers wrote this into DA:O, so this plot can carry forward to future installments... and ring "true".

Alistair and the Warden having a child together is not a game-based choice that the PC can even make, so this storyline has no basis for it to carry over to future games. But it is a lovely thought. Image IPB

You're complaining that Morrigan romancers get too happy an ending?  Image IPB

You didn't have to shtup Alistair, you know.  If you go with Zevran your Warden has just as much chance to pop one out as the mWarden with Anora.

Sorry, I just can't prevent the eyerolling on topics like this.  The way you create Warden babies is to write a fanfic story or recreate Alistair in the Sims.  Leave BioWare and the rest of us out of it.
