Damn you, I should go to sleep...but now...arrghhh :D

Okay, so we've got bigger levels, better skill trees, more aliens, returning squadmates, full-scale war, and multiple endings...

Confirm a batarian and female turian as squaddies and I'll pre-order the damn thing right. Now.

I´ll have to pre-order the game pretty soon as well. Do you get pre order boni only if you get the game from a certain retailer? I´m not very versed in this domain xD

Shepard
seems alot more agile now, he can roll, jump over low objects and use
ladders. He may finally no longer feel like a slightly more limber
version of Robocop. Makes it sound like the combat will be even more
fluid

He can seriously roll?

I seriously thought of Prince of Persia as I read about that :D. Still, don´t think everyone can do it, since there are some enemies with very bulky armor.

As for the other infos: HELL YES!!!

The new armors look awesome, kinda reminds me of Halo (even though I didn´t actually play it :P)
Still, don´t want to get spoilered tooo much , but this feeling of getting new infos on a long awaited game is just too great :D

P.S: Sanders (if he´s the one above the Info file) is awesome. He´s 100% not the guy who dies at the beginning, since he´s too awesome xD

Can you clarify a bit about the expression "playable to some extent?" (regarding squadmates, of course)
Does this mean VS/Garrus/Liara/Sanders are indeed squadmates for the majority of the game or that they could be only temporary?

The article mentions that some returning characters may be guest-squadmates at some stage (a la LotSB) rather than permanent recruits, but I doubt we're getting anything more specific for a while.

Thresher Maw VS Reaper clash
As daunting as the opposition is, Shepard may get some help from unexpected places.
In one story-boarded sequence we saw. Shepard is in a column of Krogan vehicles as
an advancing Reaper devastates the surroundings. A damaged turian fighter crashes into
the column destroying Shepard's vehicle as the hulking foe moves forward. On foot and
faced with a hopeless battle, all seems lost until a Thresher Maw bursts from ground
and begins grappling with the Reaper. Shepard runs underfoot as the two titanic creatures
clash overhead, and the Thresher Maw gains the upper hand by constricting itself around
the Reaper and pulling the machine under the sand. The struggle appears to be won, but then
lasers begin bursting through the ground, indicating that Shepard should probably get out of
there as fast as possible.

It means that the people who reviewed ME3 for game informer were able to play with these characters in their squad for a short period of time- but were unable to confirm that they would remain squadmembers throughout the entire play-through.

All in high quality, and easily readable.

Wouldn't be suprised if we met our good friend Mordin on the salarian homeworld. And female salarians, maybe?

Oh, and James Sanders... doesn't look human.

I would hold off pre-ordering just yet, we haven't heard what the different bonus's are going to be from pre-ordering from specific retailers.  There is still loads of time left yet for you to pre-order and it is better to pre-order when you know what is on offer (bonus wise) rather than pre-ordering blind.

Yes i was referring to the ones confirmed to be playable. If they are indeed squadmates for large part of the game that would be awesome and a great news. If GI intended only to confirm that they are playbale in some section, that would be quite a disappointment. I'm thinking about Garrus for the most part, I doubt they redesigned Kaidan and Ashley just to let us use them in a few missions

nr 16 is cool. It also makes sense, since we can only reach 30 in ME2. I guess the rest 30 were saved for ME3.

Plus we have to wait for them to announce the collectors/N7/whatever Edition. Definately getting that.

But the article also says that some of former squadmates will only be playable for isolated missions, and not the entire story.  They just have no idea whom.

Aren't #3 & #5 a bit contradictory? If the battlegrouns are going to be generally larger, shouldn't the focus be more on long range shootouts and sniper fire, rather than on melee?

Large battlefields =/= small amount of enemies on the polar opposite edge of those battlefields.

Large battlefields = lots of room with metric buttloads of enemies in both short and long range combat.

Y'know. Like in war.

Problem is, war is more like the former than the latter.

Why can't there be a box with all the goodies - screw those retailers coz no matter how great this is going to be, I'm not ordering 10 copies.

Mass Effect Ultimate Collection, hundred bucks: deal :-)

I've read the entire article now. There are some interesting bits. Especially how it starts. There is a kind of "game generator" that imports your game and shows the story so far as you've played it. When it encounters decision which you have not made the story stops and you are asked what you would have done. After that it continues. If a player hasn't played the game at all then ithe same kind of sequences play, but obviously asks you all the stuff it needs to know. Very neat.

As I said in an earlier post, I think you are going to be reset to level 5, but that level 5 in ME3 = level 30 in ME2. Because of the way that skill points work in ME2, it is easy to "compress" the character.  Furthermore, the article implies that leveling up is going to be more about evolving powers (the level 3 to level 4 jump) than just putting in points to make it stronger.

Having you start at level 30 makes no sense for new players, and it means that a quarter of the game is spent without evolving powers, which is madness.  Compressing the skills and remapping skill levels (old level 4 = new level 2, old levels 1-3 = level 1) makes more sense if they are going to provide more options.
