I've seen a new humanoid creature. It appeared to have no full armor, but instead an exoskeleton armor. It looked more like concept art, so I am not sure if it ever appears in the game.
Edit: Look at his arms and head.

Still I have a feeling it is still going to be an action/3d person shooter. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Eh...Mass Effect has always been an action/third person shooter.

I thought this as well.

also, unrelated, can you forward a note to the PR department to include a full photo of Mass Effect team in the ME3 CE? it would be cool to see you all. I hope you're taking behind the scenes footage too

Looks like Cyborg Raiden from MGS, but I don't think it's Sanders tbh he's supposed to be an Alliance marine not a cyborg/hybrid.

Personally, I'd much prefer to keep the ME2 color scheme for the SR-2. Having everything be blue was really annoying in ME1.
I often found the SR-2 lighting too bright in places, bringing that down a couple of notches would be great, I think it would fit better into the (apparently) dark tone of ME3. I don't really mind whether the lighting is blue or white or something else, just not so bright please!

Anyway, enemy composition have already a big role in ME2. With the same exemple as the husks, in ME2 you have the scions that served as mobile artilleries while the husks tried to get close to you. It worked very well btw.

Problem is, war is more like the former than the latter.
A mix of both would work. That's what bigger battlefields allow for!

Problem I had with SR-1 is the fact that it's outright impossible for me to tell if Shepard looks good considering how the character creator's lighting is crap up to the point I just wasted a whole hour of gameplay just to find out I made my female Shepard too pale without knowing it.

Maybe they'll let us fly up there and join in on the fun since we've been helping out here for a few years now.
Yes? No? Maybe so? They should give us a call and let us know.

Can you comment on Enemy Tactics?
I'm heading out for coffee right now... but maybe later!
Sooo... one thing we're focusing a lot more on in ME3 is enemy composition. We have a handful of roles that enemies fit into. So, take husks for example - when fighting husks you generally don't want to be in cover. They're pretty mobile, and can do terrible things to you in close range. So, when engaging them you generally want to be able to move around a lot. They fall into our "cover buster" role.
In a given fight we might combine husks with a "suppressor" type of enemy. Suppressors try to keep you pinned in cover. With both of those types in one fight, as a player you have to decide which is the larger threat. Do you send your squadmates against the Husks? Do you try to find a position where you're more protected from the suppressor enemy and take on the Husks? Or do you run headlong towards the suppressor in the back, and try to take it down quickly while avoiding the Husks?
Obviously that's just an example, and normally a fight is comprised of more than just two different roles (additionally, "suppressor" / "cover buster" combinations are pretty damned hard to fight). So you might be able to see how just with interesting composition you can get extremely dynamic experiences that can vary significantly from attempt to attempt.
This is also not going into any of the synergistic elements of some of the enemies either... some enemies have ability sets that help or modify other enemies, making them potentially a *lot* tougher... if you let them...
There is obviously a lot more info to come before the game's release. When can we expect more to submerge, before PSM3's cover story, maybe? When can we expect a full in game trailer?
Also, husks can't possibly be the only Reaper frontline soldiers. Will Cerberus join the Reapers? Will we see a new Reaper soldier tipe besides the husks? Will we see a wider variation of husks that will take the place of the many enemie types?
For my main question: Will we finally learn the purpose of the Reaper Cycle?
I don't expect an answer to any of these questions, but I had to ask. What have I got to lose?

Rolling? Wait that sounds horrible and more akin to Gears of War. I really hope it isnt some over the top forward flipping thing where you fly 6 meters into cover like that game...
Hoping it will be more like Capt Kirk's barrel roll, but not as over the top. Please, God, no "awesome buttons" in ME3.

Ah yes, I've had that issue too, my canon Shep is a bit pasty but I couldn't quite get her right again in the CC so I left her as she was. They should allow you to change the lighting within the CC. I would much prefer a darker SR-2 for increased 'moodiness'.

javierabegaz, So when are you going to update the spoiler free "Things we know about ME3" thingy? There is a huge bunch of non story related content in those captions such as larger battlefields that should be updated to the list.
The only reason why I am stressing this now is because after the GI article, I am ONLY going to be following those updates that you, Pacifen etc...have volunteered to do.
Thanks,
I'll get to work on it, since I'm here(Javi, P, and Yours Truly only).
Okay thanks. For the GI article, I guess this is going to be an exception to my ME3 media blackout only because I recieve GI mags in the mail and I always told myself that I would read the intial batch of ME3 info and I consider this the fist batch. However come August and GI does another ME3 feature, that I will stay away from, even if I get the issue in the mail.
With that being said, after this GI article, I am going to head into my blackout in which I will be relying on the spoiler-free information that you provide. I have the link saved to my desktop so ever other week or so, I'll check it to see if there are any updates.
---------------------------------------------
With that being said, I do not want to tell you all how to do your job but here is my input as to what you guys should post in the spoiler-free section. While trailers shows off major plot points, there are still many gameplay/features that are displayed. I am going to stay away from the pending E3 2011 trailer/developer blogs but I would still like for you guys to pick those apart and post content that isn't a spoiler.
Example, if in a trailer it shows Shepard doing jumping jacks to regenerate his/her health, then I would like to know about that because that isn't story content but combat/gameplay content. However I do not want to know that Shepard was duing jumping-jacks on the battlefield while aiding the Geth fight the Quarians on the Quarian homeworld because Shepard wants the Geth's assistance in fighting the Reapers.
I know I might be sounding like an azz with all of these "Demands" but I am just proud that you guys are going to risk having some points of ME3 spoiled for you just so that you can find the information that isn't plot/story material and post it for us "non-spoiler people".
Keep up the great work!
Probably a bad example but do you catch my drift?

Well this generally shouldn't be a problem since i assume ya'll be using an imported Shep. I know i will be atleast. Personally i can't ever see myself playing ME2 or 3 without an import.
