How can Bioware pull off this monstrous game in 2 years? The team working on it must be 2 or 3 time as large as the one on DA2, otherwise it doesn't make any sense.
Unless...they planned the whole triolgy since development of ME2?

From what I'm seeing here, I have no more worries. They've got most of the mechanics in place already, and it sounds like they're really bringing everything together plot-wise.
I have literally never been this excited for an upcoming game.

Saw the pic of Ashley. The logo on her shoulder resembles the blue suns logo. Also, is that a bayoneyt on one of the guns?
Yep, that's a bayonet.
A bayonet on the same gun, actually. Those four guns are all different versions of one weapon, if you look closely at 'em.

Alright guys, page 55!!
Does anyone wonder if that's a......dun dun dun female Batarian?
I mean, in all likely hood, probably not, I mean why would Cerberus recruit a batarian.....unless she was a skilled assassin...?
Look at the 4 red eyes on the helmet..
Thoughts?
Yes, this strongly hints it's a female batarian.

As you said, it is very unlikely that a female Batarian would serve as a Cerberus assassin. But then again, it was Cerberus' idea to recruit to all kinds of alien specialists for the suicide mission.
Judging by the helmet design, it might be suited for a Batarian, but it also might be "just a design choice". We have all seen weird helmet designs that BioWare came up with, like Kestrel helmet and even death mask.
So, who knows?

They began work on ME3 before ME2 shipped, so possibly around late-2009 at a guess.
And also most of ME2's core features such as combat, weapons, mechanics etc are being expanded on in ME3 so really when starting work on ME3 they had all they wanted from the ME2 engine which they created with that in mind.

They had ME2 as a base to work off of and are fine-tuning it.spernus wrote...

The first game of any franchise will take the longest, as everything is being built from the ground up. Regardless, I agree, BioWare's trilogy is going to be legendary and i think will be one of the most influential video game series

The section on Husks:
The species of Husks that it listed are
- Turian
- Batarian
- Rachni
- ....dun dun dun.....Harvester!!
Also just wanted to say that it's awesome that they've already mentioned 4 husk species that we've never seen

I also have a lot of Shepards. For me it would be great to see which character did what. It also allows me to check if I forgot some important decision. If so the game generator will pause and prompt me. I think that is great.charmingcharlie wrote...
I am loving what I have read in the GI mag 99.9% of it sounds awesome beyond words and I am wondering if I can go into hibernation for 8 months because the wait is made all the worse with the "awesomeness" contained in that article.
However I hate to be a negative nancy but I did read something that got the alarm bells ringing and I am afraid it is about this "interactive comic". Now I have no problems with the interactive comic, I think it is a fantastic idea for new players and those that want to use it. I do have a problem with making people that import a save game use it though.
If you read Casey's interview he clearly states that you will have to sit through the comic even if you import a save game. I am sure that is a great idea on paper but in reality it is going to really annoy a lot of seasoned ME players. By the time ME 3 comes out I will probably have about 20 Shepards that I will want to shove through ME 3. That means if the comic is mandatory I will have to sit through that comic at least 20 times (I am really not that much of a fan of comics).
I don't need a comic to retell the story of ME 1 and 2 I spent at least 500 hours playing ME 1 and nearly 700 hours playing ME 2. All I am going to need is a quick summary screen reminding me of the decisions my Shepard made. I really really hope that Bioware make the comic skippable or it is really going to kill the replay value of ME 3 for seasoned ME gamers.
Other than that I really love what I have read so far.

They may of confused Harvesters with Klixen.

Are you referring to the large creature that dropped Klixen at us that we never actually fight?

Speaking of page 58, what/who is that guy with the ponytail? He looks partly cybernetic so is he a husk or something else? I like his look, whatever he is! Also are those tattoos on his arms or some cybernetic markings under the skin?

Despite the troves of AWESOME news that has come out from the GI article, I am still pensive as well. ME3 is shaping up the way I had imagined it would (and hoped it would), but it just seems like there is so much content that needs to be put in place and that 2 years is just not enough time. Oh well (after the GI article), in Bioware I trust. I just hope they take extra time if they need it.
Anyways, all of the news concerning ME3 sounds amazing. The additions to the gameplay (tighter controls, roll, easier movement over and around cover) sound great and the plot elements sound awesome as well (heres to the good old ME1 crew). I cannot wait to see some gameplay.
