Any mention about scale of Reaper attack? Are they on Earth only?

bump

Not sure but considering that Krogan vehicle mentioned, possibly not.

Yup, it sounds like Reapers are going to be dogging you all over the place

Reapers won't just attack Earth. Presumably Tuchanka too. There's also a concept art of them invading some other unknown planet.

What do you guys think of a fact from gameinformer that a Thresher Maw will take on a Reaper and succeed in heavily damaging it? Looks like Cerberus Daily News was supposed to give some clue about ME3 after all.

Official Cerberus News
11/12/2010 - Photo Revives Debate Over Tuchanka's "Colossal Thresher Maw":
“A photo taken by Clan Ravanor miners during a drilling operation on the krogan homeworld of Tuchanka is reigniting debate on the existence of a colossal thresher maw. The photo, now being viewed widely on the extranet, adds to a long line of evidence that skeptics call an old and treasured hoax -- and believers call irrefutable proof. For centuries, krogan settlements bordering Tuchanka's deserts have told stories of entire clans swallowed by this colossal thresher maw. While locals claim the ancient creature is real, no outside sources have confirmed the beast's existence.”

Pull this off and you will have my money. Still waiting for a combat video to make a final decision though.

So is the mission to take back Earth just one of the first missions? Or is it one of the final ones / ultimate goal kind of thing?

I am also happy that we can pickup weapons. Loot is good. ;)

ME3 just keeps getting more and more awesome.

It does, Fiery.  I am ecstatic that we can modify weapons now.  I just hope we can modify Shepard’s character, i.e. very, very little auto dialogue.  But that’s for another thread.

It wouldn't qualify as loot if we picked up the weapon and never got to keep it on our armory. I hope we do get to keep it, as well as any other weapons we pick up.

Thinking about shops... I am afraid that if we get some of the shop keepers back from ME2 that they won't be happy with the deal you've made with them (the "favorite shop" with more than one). I wonder how that plays out. ;)

I doubt its part of a loot system.

More like, "Pick up this gun and start using it for this mission, but by mission's end its gone and you no longer use it".

Maybe you can strip them of any modifications that you find? or atleast use your Omnitool to copy schematics

Thanks a bunch, javier.

ME3 looks promising so far. I'm curious about number 11...I wonder what other ways there are?

I hope that "saving earth" is only 2/3 the way through the game. I think there is going to be a shocking twist...i.e. we launch an attack in dark space. The scenario now just looks too predictable. We will see, though

A question about item (12) Balanced Team Members:

Does that mean if an old team member who might have been in the new team is dead, you'll get a different character as a replacement?

In that case our team will be quite a bit more variable than expected. The total number of characters from which your team could be taken would also be quite impressive....or should I say crazy?

Maybe swap guns from the ground with the ones you have.

I have to admit, I'm disappointed by TIM betrayal (unless it is a rogue cell/element?), it just seems so predictable. Otherwise, color me super excited for ME3.

I doubt it. If that were the case, we'd have all the modifications way too early.

They could counteract that by making enemies have certain mods based on when the mission's taking place, but then that removes diversity and becomes LAAAAAAAME.

lol, that was one of the best easter eggs ever :) Maybe at the end of the credits you'll see him :) Or maybe you get asked to solve a hostage situation because he's had it with shoddy customer support

If they bring the Refund Guy back, we need his ME1 voice actor, cause the ME2 one really didn't jive with me.

Sure it seems predictable but it also seems logical. There are probably events where Shepard has to choose everyone over humans, or maybe the demo they saw at GameInformer was just one consequence if you destroyed the collector base

Is that something you want? Or do you think that actually makes sense? I don't think the weapons can be sold (although I think they should), but not allowing them to be used afterwards doesn't make sense.

That does seem a bit crazy, which is why I don't feel every ME2 squad member will return as a squad member in ME3.

It could also mean that some will have more ME3 squad mates than others.  James Sanders' abilities may overlap with Garrus' so if the latter is dead, you still have a Garrus-like character right from the start to make up for that.  If Garrus is alive, you have both to pick from.
