Not a joke, but you don't have the whole context

Want to know something even more implausible? Kaiden/Ashley DLC for Mass Effect 2.

I understand the Reaper comes back up from underground blasting its way through..but a Thresher Maw is like...what, 30 feet, 40 feet in diameter? Hell, let's say it's 100 feet wide, super strong, the Reapers are over a kilometer long, have mass effect shields like no other in the galaxy and plow through ships like butter, and a little Thresher Maw drags one underground....

Thanks, you'd realize I haven't had time or felt like going in to change it yet. But you posted before thinking.

I doubt the maw actually kills the reaper. Just takes it underground. The Reaper probably royally ***** it up.

Either that or we clone Thresher Maw's and throw them at the Reapers with giant catapults! :wizard:

It's not a video, it was a sequence of gameplay detailed in the Game Informer article.

Time to post the Cerberus Daily News Again:

11/12/2010 - Photo Revives Debate Over Tuchanka's "Colossal Thresher Maw":
“A photo taken by Clan Ravanor miners during a drilling operation on the krogan homeworld of Tuchanka is reigniting debate on the existence of a colossal thresher maw. The photo, now being viewed widely on the extranet, adds to a long line of evidence that skeptics call an old and treasured hoax -- and believers call irrefutable proof. For centuries, krogan settlements bordering Tuchanka's deserts have told stories of entire clans swallowed by this colossal thresher maw. While locals claim the ancient creature is real, no outside sources have confirmed the beast's existence.”

Aaaaaaaaaand once again, the entire context is not known. Look in the Spoilers forum for a similar thread to get all the details. It actually does make sense once you know everything that's going on. Bioware even "Checkov's Gun"d it with a Cerberus News Update a while back.

Ok, if that's the case, guess it is plausible then...

Maybe it's a very big Thresher Maw. Maybe it's a very small Reaper. Maybe both. Who cares. It's AWESOME!

I-

A Thresher Maw takes down a Reaper?
For reals?

Alright Bio, I thought you couldn't possibly top Riordan ambushing the archdemon fron the top of Fort Drakon, but this is EVEN MORE AWESOME. The kind of awesome that's so cartoonish it prevents you from thinking about how cartoonish it is. It just leaves you in awe.

Thresher Maw-enhanced warfare for ME3.

What just because we've seen a few thresher maws we've seen them all? Please, plus this is a big universe they could be different sizes on different planets, plus that Daily news article :P
