Given how the Reapers would be unfit for landbased-warfare with only them as Dreadnoughts plus their huskyfied little helpers, assumptions they have some sort of Reaper-Tank/Battleship for planetary assaults are in place.

I really do not understand why people are complaining about this Thresher Maw vs Reaper scrap ? The minute I read about it my jaw dropped and I started drooling with anticipation. If Bioware do it right and actually pull this off it could be the single greatest moment in video gaming history.

Oh yeah!
The reaper emerges from the ground pointing its main cannon at Shepard and co. The player thinks "Oh sh**!" and then... Thresher maw-splosion!

Some of them complain to complain. Some complain because they don't like the idea. Some complain to get a "rise" out of people.
Personally, I think it's going to effin' awesome to watch.

I'm hoping the storyboarded concept ends up being more believable than it sounds, because a giant Thresher Maw bringing a Reaper down does sound VERY Hollywooded.
