I doubt the maw actually kills the reaper. Just takes it underground. The Reaper probably royally ***** it up.

Either that or we clone Thresher Maw's and throw them at the Reapers with giant catapults! 

where did this even show up in me2? is it in the codex or something? also if this is true it reminds me of the sarlac pitt from return of the jedi becaus ein the one book boba fett escapes by his jet pack.

i hated that movie........ but i love the idea of the maw vs reaper minus the maw riding

Know, regading the Thresher Maw, from the ME Wiki : 

 They can grow to be in excess of 30 metres tall above the ground, with a body nearly twice that size beneath the surface. The body of an adult thresher maw never entirely leaves the ground; only the head and tentacles erupt from the earth to attack.

So let's say an average Maw is 90 metres in length, thats around 280-300 foot long. Now Sovereign was rumored to be 2 kilometres long and I'm guessing all Reapers are similar size, maybe starting at 1 kilometre and going up, that's still 3300 feet (1KM) long!!!. 

I wanna see this Colossal Maw, my God it must be fooking HUGE!!!

im only 26 my friend. i know theres a book and ive yet to read it so i think thats a reason why i didnt like the film at all

A Renegade Interrupt at that exact point would be too epic. The universe would implode and you would get a Critical Mission Failure. Unless, of course, someone tried to say something. In which case, the Renegade Interrupt would just have you casually drawing your pistol and shooting them, without looking away from the display of awesomeness that is happening.

Oddly, a paragon interrupt has you do exactly the same thing.

Thresher Maw Reapers are the things that Sole Survivor Shepard has nightmares about.

Actually, Thresher Maw Reapers are the things that EVERYONE has nightmares about. Unless they're in Shepard's old team. In which case, Mako Reapers are the things that they have nightmares about.
