Something that kinda irks me in both DA2 and Mass Effect is the investigate dialogues. They always turn out making the character look like a moron.
Perfect example:
Asking Samson about Lyrium essentially comes out as "What is lyrium".
Kind of a stupid question to ask seeing as my character downs potions of it constantly, he should have a clue as to what it is.
It would've been better to ask "What do Templars need with Lyrium" (especially if delivered like "What does god need with a starship?").
When my character asks for information let him know about the world he lives in even if I don't =p

Agree in someways but I think questions like that are for players who didn't play DA:O first so they have an idea of what people are talking about when someone mentions lyrium.

Yeah, DAO did this a bit too. Past the origins it isn't a big deal since not all Wardens would have the same knowledge base, but you can ask some really stupid questions in the origins. I presume they're there to satisfy the player's curiosity, not the character's.

Make up your minds people. Some complain nothing is explained, some complain about having things explained to them.
