Ambitions are those things you are wanting... too many folks spend all their time wanting and forget to enjoy what they already have. Ambition means naught to your family, when you are dead and gone.

Life is measured not by the number of breaths we take, but rather by the moments which take our breath away.

Rogues, we live in the here and now.

My life's awesome; what greater ambition is there than my love of self-indulgence?

Hrmmm...what you describe is not ambition at all really. I've never heard anyone use ambition as a negative. Besides maybe Sten....and Communists.

I hold what I hold and none shall succeed in wresting it from my hands. Communists see property as a collective, I see it as what I have earned through my own efforts.

Did you not have ambitions to acquire that property in the first place?  And if not, why bother acquiring it at all?  And the tie into Communism in my statement is that they don't want you to have ambition, because everyone is the same.   You should have no 'ambitions' to rise above your station and have anything more than anyone else.

Ambition, curtesy of wikipedia : Ambition is the desire for personal achievement. Ambitious persons seek to be the best at what they choose to do for attainment, power, or superiority.

Some people may lack in the execution of said ambitions, but therein lies the problem.  The execution, not the ambition. Image IPB

Ambition means you seek to achieve at a future point. I achieve here and now, enjoying what I have here and now. Tomorrow is a presumption that you control variables of fate and expect them to deliver on false promises.

............ sameness sucks and is a sheeple thing.

Uh no. Just because it is on Wiki does not make it fact.
Someone can have ambition to be best in their field with no need for power/money.

Communism... true Communism does not require you to have no ambition just to have it for the greater good. To be ambitious for non selfish reasons. Example. A man/woman wants to be a doctor to help people even if they would still be earning and living life like a shop assistant.

Hmmm, my ambition is to very, very soon get the all new "Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition 250GB Hard Drive Console System" by the grace of God somehow this year actually, so that I can then play the game Dragon Age: Origins Collector's Edition (Xbox 360 Version), and, the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 finally in style then hopefully.

My ambitions lie around the path of finding a job that allows enough spare-time for my hobby will still maintaining enough income to lead a very pleasant life.

A "very" pleasant life. I also aim for a bit too high at this point, I guess.
