Life is measured not by the number of breaths we take, but rather by the moments which take our breath away.
Rogues, we live in the here and now.

I hold what I hold and none shall succeed in wresting it from my hands. Communists see property as a collective, I see it as what I have earned through my own efforts.rebel11983 wrote...
Hrmmm...what you describe is not ambition at all really. I've never heard anyone use ambition as a negative. Besides maybe Sten....and Communists.

Did you not have ambitions to acquire that property in the first place? And if not, why bother acquiring it at all? And the tie into Communism in my statement is that they don't want you to have ambition, because everyone is the same. You should have no 'ambitions' to rise above your station and have anything more than anyone else.
Ambition, curtesy of wikipedia : Ambition is the desire for personal achievement. Ambitious persons seek to be the best at what they choose to do for attainment, power, or superiority.
Some people may lack in the execution of said ambitions, but therein lies the problem. The execution, not the ambition.

to OP, I wish your ambition was to learn how to choose a thread name that is less ambiguous.

Uh no. Just because it is on Wiki does not make it fact.
Someone can have ambition to be best in their field with no need for power/money.
Communism... true Communism does not require you to have no ambition just to have it for the greater good. To be ambitious for non selfish reasons. Example. A man/woman wants to be a doctor to help people even if they would still be earning and living life like a shop assistant.

A "very" pleasant life. I also aim for a bit too high at this point, I guess.
