Creative Assembly asked its community to vote for them... but they offered a contest/prize associated with it too.
BioWare doesn't need to bribe ppl to get votes, they have fans.

It's a shame that there were no nominations for the voice acting as far as DA:O was concerned, considering the, IMHO, very good quality (and large amount) of the dialogue (esp. Claudia Black and Steve Valentine. Oh well, I voted for Black in the best voice thingy, but that's for Uncharted 2...).

edit: Also, just noticed Claudia Black is not up for best performance even though she did Chloe in Uncharted 2 and Morrigan in DA:O. But "Dare" from Halo voiced by Tricia Helfer is. Seriously?
When they had the monkey compile those lists, did they threaten to torture it's mother?

How Modern Warfare 2 got to "Game of the Year" is beyond me.
My votes:
- Best PC Game: Dragon Age: Origins
- Best RPG: Dragon Age: Origins
- Best Shooter: Modern Warfare 2 (Though I don't really know Killzone 2)
- Best Multiplayer Game: Modern Warfare 2
- Best Game Based On TV Show/Movie: Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Asylum
- Best Downloadable Game: Battlefield 1943
- Best DLC: Fallout 3 Broken Steel
- Most Anticipated Game: Mass Effect 2
I am disappointed to see noone from Dragon Age: Origins in Best Voice either.

It's call bribery. It's unfair, and it doesn't prove you have better game.Wonderboy2402 wrote...

Bioware do not need to bribe, they have the best games.

Pretty much the 2 best games in da categories <.<
For the peps going totally berserk cause we ain't havin' DA:O in the GotY, chillax the game come out 2-3 week's ago?, not enough time to hit the big sales and get popular ^.^

It's quite ridiculous not being able to vote for Dragon Age as the overall GOTY. Also, why on earth is a game like Borderlands competing in the RPG category? And why can't I vote Bioware for developer of the year? All in all, those listings are horrible. But I certainly gave Dragon Age my support on both of the categories it was listed in!Although Mass Effect 2 had to bow before the mighty StarCraft 2.
That! ...apart from the SC2 thing, for a start this is for stuff thats actually getting released next year!
