voted for everything bioware had up there, was pretty sad that DA didn't get nominated for more categories though, I think it definitely deserves to be nominated for best cast and GOTY. And it is a outright sham that one of Claudia Black's roles wasn't in best female performance, seriously MEGAN FOX made the list over her?!?!?!?

If other sites and newspapers are any indication, I think DAO has a very good chance.

I voted for DA when I could, and I planned on voting for MA2 for most anticipated game...then I saw SC2....sorry bioware, I've been waiting for SC2 for 8 years or so :)

Another reason for me to not vote on it, the game is what we coule expect to be topend quality 4-5 years ago which is sad, not enough artistic freedom as for one thing... wearing weapons on the back but not sheathed in anyway..

The story is awesome and all that... intelligent voice dialogs and such, but alot is still missing considering we are speaking of the year 2009... a game like Neverwinter Nights would quality much better for this and yet I believe it did that back in its time for sure, merely because of the 100s of opportunities in the game aside from the main campaigns themself.

I wish/hope Machinarium is among the candidates for Best [Adventure/Puzzle] Games of 2009. <3

These "awards" are a total joke. Nevertheless I voted for DA in every category possible. I can't understand how the new CoD is a better candidate for the GOTY than Dragon Age. Not even talking about Left 4 Dead and other stuff. They're great games, but Dragon age is superior to them in terms of gameplay time. It's just my opinion of course. DA is one of the best games I've ever played.

Different type of games. Dragon Age is an rpg, focused on character building and all that rpg-ey stuff, and is going to be much longer. I mean, you can only fit so much plot into an FPS before you start to run out of ideas and interest. Completely different experience than CoD and Left 4 Dead and all those other games; all are exceptionally well designed and theoretically equal contenders for GOTY or whatever, it just comes down to personal preference in the end

My only concern for Game of the Year is just that a Year COD MW2 has barley been out a month

I voted, but the VGAs are complete BS anyway. I mean honestly, Jack Black winning for best voice? There was no choice for Steve Valentine, or I'd have voted for him. Since I couldn't, I believed out of the nominees, the best voice was most definitely Mark Hamill's performance as the Joker in Arkham Asylum. It was brilliant.

Best male voice: Hugh Jackman from Wolverine.
Best female voice: Megan Fox from Transformers.

Are you bloody kidding me? Don't people have to actually, like, buy these games for them to be considered as "good"? At least Mr. Jackman can actually act, megan Fox just read lines into a microphone instead of a camera.

Claudia Black should have won for best female, and Steve Valentine, Nolan North, or Mark Hamill should have won for male.

I was also unimpressed with their failure to include DA:O for best score.

Yup. I totally agree. I mean, what the heck are the qualifications to be entered into the 'Best performance by a Human Male/Female' Category, anyway?

I think it's just retarded to have awards for best male/female voice actor, when they don't even have an award for best male/female character. These are awards for Video Games, not movies or music. The number of actors and musicians that were there just dwarfed the number of video game makers, sheesh.

Anyway, I'm really happy DA won best PC game and RPG. 2 of the few logical choices in these mock-up awards.

The only thing that really ticked me off about the VGA awards is they didn't even show the other nominees for best PC game. Meanwhile, they spent 10 minutes showing footage of the nominees for best sports game which are basically the same games every year. At any rate, I'm glad Dragon Age won some awards as this was one of the few games nominated that I would actually play for more than a half hour over at a friend's house.

Grats Bioware - well deserved  =]:wizard::o

best female performance, seriously MEGAN FOX made the list over
her?!?!?!?

Sadly she didn't just make the list :crying:. I blame all the fanboiz. Please note: voice performing - magical bossom = totally unrelated... not that my target audience will ever crawl in here
