I wish people would stop confusing choice with fear regarding this issue. Using their logic, one could say gays are heterophobic.

Anyway, regarding the game I really don't care what moral avenue Bioware takes so long as I'm given a choice in the game. Respect is a two-way street.

What do you mean by choice?  BW always gives the player the choice not to pursue any romance, straight or gay.

There was a time when I questioned my sexuality, after having a long talk with my best friend (whose like a brother to me) who happens to be gay. I came to realize I'm a heterosexual.

Alright so now to the topic at hand. I wondered if there was another reason as to why the LIs (beyond Liara) are not available for both genders, beyond the ones we as a comunity discussed. After typing a post on DA2 about the idea Hawke having kids. I reflect back to the subject as to why homosexaulity is more welcomed in DA and not so much in ME.

I pondered for a moment until I came to realize that maybe... just maybe... BW left the window open for Shepard to have kids. 

It's the future, bro. I'm sure there are plenty of ways - especially given ready access to alien superscience - around that little gender issue for prospective parents, so long as parents are the same species and thus have compatible genetic material.

That explains it, lol I don't go anywhere near that thread. I wouldn't mind at all if he was,  wouldn't effect me and it would make a lot of people happy.

It doesn't make sense. Not even with all the 'pre-defined character' nonsense. If FemShep has it within her characterization to be bisexual or interested in same-sex relations, then it should be within Dude Shep's characterization to be bisexual or interested in same-sex relations. It's just a sad excuse to allow for a double standard for a certain audience's fancy -- and a poor excuse at that.

We don't need to know that, just type your point and leave your life stories for private chat or twitter.

Topic: At this point, I really don't care. Kids? I sure hope not. If BW wanted Shepard to have gay relationships (Liara doesn't count, she's unisexual. Yes, she is, you may think what you want, but that's the truth ladies) that would have done so in ME2, but they didn't. Hell, ME1 and 2 were supposed to have gay romances, but they were taken out both times. What does that tell you?

Liara is not unisexual. Asari are a mono-gendered female species. There's quite a huge difference.

That's the truth. Read the codex and failing that, consult your common sense of feminine identity (in terms of human perception).

As for the whole gay thing being removed, I think it was marketing. We're still not at the point in society yet (I'd say decadence, but since I respect you Cheez, I won't).

 a gay/bisexual Shepard would have been good for sales. If FOX went ape**** over little skin reveals, imagine male x male sex. It would have been a disaster!
