Since this game is such an unpolished rush job I think we'we all had that : "really"? moment. So I made this thread so people could come and share their experiences of weird stuff that happened that people might nit have noticed..

WARNING, SPOILERS

I'll start, everyone remembers the cut scene when the qunari have taken the chantry and the Arishok throws the Viscounts head at the crowd right? As the scene continues a man with long brown hair and orange clothes speaks out in protest, a qunari walks up behind him and snaps his neck.

Now, if you look closely at the crowd, the same exact man with orange outfit and brown hair watches in horror! And as if thats not enough , 3 more guys who look exactly the same( orange clothes and bwon hair) also watches in horror. To top that there are at least 2 or 3 guys in a blueish outfit who look exactly alike, and 2 or 3 women who look exactly the same.

One would have thought Bioware would have put more effort into such an important scene.. But noooooo.

Honestly, I cant understand that Bioware actually made this game...

So whats your "did anyone notice" moment?

Yeah, that was a bit sad. They showed that scene pre-release and I just assumed that was one of those issues they'd have polished up in the actual game. But I guess they thought no one would notice, just like they think no one notices all of those books in the Circle Tower.

He is from vault and his name is Gary. Yeah that was pretty poor. If I was working for team in charge of cinematics and cut scenes, I would have requested different models from designers.
You should mod your thread name though and remove profanity and put spoiler warning.

Of course, this thread is very likely to get locked now, with SPOILERS in the title, being in the "Dragon Age II General Discussion (No Spoilers Allowed)" forum.

ridiculously late edit: well, it WAS in the no-spoiler forum when I wrote this post, anyway. It has since been moved by a mod, I see.

I noticed this scene. *Spoilers* When you kill the Arishok and Meredith announces you as champion the scene pans out to all the nobles applauding for you. Notice how they use the same 3 or 4 face models for like the 20 something nobles in that scene

...Lazy Bioware is lazy.

But.. laidlaw said the recycling was done artistically, and no one would care!

Yeah, it was well and truly noticed.

I guess we could put it down to Kirkwell being a strange place where there are lots of identical triplets.

It reminds me of the intial scene in Kirkwall when two exactly same NPC do the same bow emote at the same time ... I was like "WTF?"

It's 'cause BioWare has gotten away with it before, so they figured they could do it again. Laidlaw needs to realize that players will cut a game some slack if they're having fun playing it and it was obvious that some effort was put into it.  If you release a game with blatent obvious intent to rip off the consumers then we usually aren't so accomidating.

True, it wasn't nearly as blatant in DA:O, but since DA2 is in a prison.. errr kirkwall, it is very noticable and in your face.

I care so Laidlaw failed at that goal. :bandit:

Also - apparantly all Qunari are male. And identical down to the last atom. Never really even thought about that before...

I guess Bioware figured they could get away with 1 model since the Qunari are enemies most of the time...

Well, humans all look the same to the qunari :P. Likewise, the only difference in non-Saren turians in Mass Effect are their facial markings, not facial design.

Lol, I did notice that. This game is a stain on biowares reputation.

All qunari are identicle; if they are not the Qun demands that they are dropped off of a cliff. Likewise, there are no female qunari, and for the same reason.

On a related note, there are no "followers" of the Qun; that is a mistranslation into the common tongue. There are no follower qunari; every qunari is a leader, they just happen to lead themselves all in the same direction they are told to go. The difference is distint; but unrecongnizeable to you Baas.
