No- I like Varric, but he is a little too "smooth" for me. My friend always teases about me my taste in videogame men, saying I only like them if they are mentally unstable and/or horribly disfigured. He's not THAT far wrong.

The other two were:

Zaeed (ME2)- mentally unstable AND horribly disfigured
Bao-Dur (KOTOR2) - horribly disfigured, or at least really weird looking

My friend considers Nathaniel to be of the mentally unstable variety ( I don't happen to agree). Our conversation went something like this:

Me: Have you met Nathaniel? OMG, I am so in LOVE with him!!! 

Friend: The guy just told you that he came to kill you...and you want to bang him?

Me: Yeah...problem?


As much as I like crazy, DA2 had a bit too much of it, even for me!

In DA2 almost everyone's crazy xD Nate is one of the rare voices of reason in this game (mmmh the voice...).

Bolded part: I've heard this dialogue before!

edit: Nate mentally unstable? xD Idk... I don't think that at all.

Mmmmm Nate. I wanted him as a LI the moment I saw him too I agree to the comments on his voice
And his trying to kill me didn't bother me. He was confused at the time, believing his father murdered basically. That would be enough to send anyone in a tailspin...
I really hope he is a LI in DA3. That would make me so happy

I don't either agree with the mentally unstable thing. At first Nate sees all the things he loved have been destroyed by the Warden, and later he realizes these things were not like he thought they were. The quiet stoic kind serving him well.

I had most of the same feeling with DA2, in fact I happened to play DA2 before DA:O and DA:A. Well, there's never enough drama (or a character dramatic enough) for me, but somehow I felt relieft about Nathaniel. Thank you Bioware... I guess. <_<
