Despite the "I want to kill the Warden Commander in revenge for my father" thing, Nathaniel turns out to be an intelligent, well-spoken, no nonsense, dry humor, sort of man. You know, the kind who is equally at home slaying bandits or dancing in great halls. After going through most of DA II with LI's suffering from PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder, Nathaniel was a beacon of sexy normal male. How could any of us forget him?
If he doesn't show up in DA 3, I plan to write a sequel to my novel (after I clean it up and rewrite a few things). If he does show up, I still plan to write it and incorporate any canon that appears.
Nathaniel is probably my favorite male character in Dragon Age to date (Alistair is a close second), and I won't forget him anytime soon.
