I wonder when they'll fix it (and the Merrill Act III bug).

Merrill Act 3 bug? I thought that was fixed already. Works fine in my DA2 files when it never did before.

I'd heard that this was supposed to be fixed as of the latest patch - is that wrong?

I've read more than one person saying Nathaniel still refers to the Architect being alive, and the developers haven't addressed it the different times it's been mentioned in the respective forums by different people who wonder when or if it'll be fixed.

Ahhh, so they're going with the old "if we ignore them, they'll go away" plan again?

I encountered this bug still on 1.03 in my current playthrough, made from beginning to end with the new patch. So it is clearly NOT fixed. Nathanial STILL says the Architect is alive, even though my Warden killed him. So I'm starting to wonder if they've canonized a choice I doubt most players even took. "Yes, please turn the entire world into talking ghouls so we can all get along. What a brilliant idea."

No one ever gives a guy credit for trying these days....

I'd give him credit for trying, if it was an idea worth having. If the Architect would've been content to make the Darkspawn intelligent and cart them far away from the other races, then great. But when his 'solution' was effectively, 'Make everyone darkspawn, but smarter?" No thanks. Bad ideas deserve extinction.

Yes, this was fixed in 1.02.

It's still not fixed? Oh the humanity...

And what about the whole mess to trigger that quest in the frist place? Did they fix that?
It's somehow annoying to always get the quest with the dwarves and not the Nathaniel one, even if he was clearly alive but the game still thinks that he died in Vigils Keep. Vven after I did all the upgrades and the ending slides told me he was alive and well.

If you killed the Architect, you don't deserve to be respected. This is Bioware's way of saying 'screw you noob'.

Some of us think giving sentience to a race of dangerous, contagious, and violent creatures that violate women and eat people alive could be a bad thing... we could always ask what the survivors of the Vigil Keep sneak attack think of the Architect and his grand ideas...

Then there is how the Architect treated his allies in The Calling, not exactly an on the level chap IMHO, so just cause he says he means no harm, doesn't mean my warden-commander believed him. My cannon playthrough was a Dalish warrior that made the ultimate sacrifice and my warden-comander was just a guy from Orlais who played by the book, killing every darkspawn he saw.

Nathaniel didn't even show up for me even though he was alive and well by the end of Awakening :(

I just took a different meaning for the word "spared", my Warden cooks up a mean rack o' ribs on the barbeque.

So they really didn't fix this, huh? Well, guess it was too much to hope for... but whatever... I guess the only real solution is to reload my canon Warden, replay Awakening, and kill Nathaniel the moment I see him. It sucks, but there's no way I'm playing DA3 with the Architect alive if it can be avoided.

What would be nice is if they provided the flags that are passed on from the other games in a simple text file so that the player could correct them if they were messed up. By the way, do the DA:O choices have any impact on Cullen's behavior in DA2? You could get a psycho-Cullen in the ending cards.

I just did a mage Warden run and I got the slide that says he went nuts and killed some apprentices. I didn't notice anything different in DA2.
