Coincidentally, that's also why DA2 lacked an Oghren cameo. Oooh-gren.

What's wrong with Deepstalkers? I would rather more enemy variation than less!

Aside from being tiresome wack-a-mole's, a repeating hurdle whose only related challenge is targeting the little buggers, and the deep roads is full of the damn things?Fieryeel wrote...

Nothing, I suppose. I tended to just wait for my party to kill them whilst leafing through a book. Don't get me wrong, I didn't foster an unyielding lifelong hatred of them in the same way as, say, shadow werewolves or childer grubs. They're just boring.

So you would rather keep killing giant spiders and hurlocks in the same copy-and-pasted deep roads, rather than fight new types of enemies?

Source: DA3 will feature a dwarf protagonist with all that entails, including dwarf love interests in both genders.

My finding a particularly tiresome type of enemy, every encounter with which involves the exact same thing in the exact same way, frustrating and bland means I instead prefer entire re-hashed areas? That's some impressive reading-between-the-lines going on there.Fieryeel wrote...

Seems to me you prefered DA2 Deep roads to DA1 Deep Roads.
I don't see how having Deep Stalkers made DA1 Deep Roads worst off.

DA1 Deep Roads was a little too much road for me. I felt like I spent half of the game down there, and that's only exacerbated by the fact the roads were mostly monotonous in terms of architecture and coloring.

I didn't like deepstalkers. Deepstalkers =/= the entirety of the Deep Roads.

Dwarven women are hiding with the Fex, Qunari women, ash wraiths, drakes, deepstalkers, children darkspawn, shrieks, genlocks, hurlock alphas, broodmothers, wolves, bears, werewolves, blight wolves, bereskarn, corrupted werewolves, sylvans, nugs, Halla, giant rat, skeleton mage, disciple, bronto, cats, dogs(non-Mabaris) -I better stop. I am feeling sad.
I thought they were with the Krogan and Turian women...
As for the reused caves and buildings, it seems to me that Bioware could have created a sort of "area tileset" that would have allowed the same resources to be used over and over, while having different areas made up from those "tiles", so that we weren't obviously in a different chunk or "entry angle" of the same map with doors artificially and obviously closed off.
