An atrocious pic of Isabela to demonstrate her tintmap. It... really is atrocious.

New Red Isabela pic!

The sash will change, I think, and I might not use the red leather for this outfit... but I love how the red leather turned out, so it'll go in one of them at least.

And here's the final version of Isabela's red outfit:

Pending some conversations with some lovely assistants regarding further tints and names for the outfits, Isabela should be ready for release sometime tomorrow :wizard:

I'm following this with great interest ;)

Be nice if you could find a way to automatically integrate thought processes mod - so that we'd only need download one.

Can't wait for the finished product :-)

LoL This is beautiful! I LOVE it! And only negligibly different from my idea! I guess great minds think alike. At least I believe we do if I understand that your mod requires the mod that enables companions to equip armor pieces.

I like the idea of their static armor changing looks to match what upgrades they have. That'd be the next step up from by base idea.

You should put some fancy embroidery on Isabela's corset that says "Felicitate me" ;)

Thanks for the support! Yes, it does require that mod. As I mention in the OP, I'll likely include a copy of the equipment_layout.gda when this goes final, because I want as few dependencies as possible. While it's still in alphs, though, that's not important to me.

It doesn't really change based on which upgrades you've got, because the upgrades as they are in the vanilla game no longer exist in any capacity. They're entirely replaced by the new armors, which occupy the chest slot (instead of the follower armor slot, which is hidden with the modified equipment_layout.gda).

They're also completely separate from one another. None of them has any effect on any of the others. If you skip the first three upgrades and only pick up the last, it'll be the same as someone who collected a prior upgrade. "Upgrade" becomes a misnomer with my mod. I only use the word to refer to what I'm replacing, not what I'm replacing them with.

I must say I really like the idea. This is something I have thought too, but am completely clueless as to how to do it. I must say though that my personal tastes on what the companions should look like are way different then yours. :D

So, just to clarify, what you're saying is that: I obtain an upgrade item. That translates into a costume change which is not dependant upon which upgrade I find and just what "level" of the armor they have originally? For instance, 1st upgrade = ArmorA 2nd upgrade= ArmorB regardless of which upgrade it it, correct?

No. Well, mostly no.

The "upgrades" aren't "costume changes" any more than it's a "costume change" for the PC to equip a new chestpiece. That's what I've turned the "upgrades" into: chestpieces. They're leveled (for now) at 5/10/15/improves with level-up, and the progression is in the same sequence that the upgrades are acquired.

The levels are as they are because I'm not sure what level people tend to get the upgrades at. That's some of the feedback I'm hoping for. I don't expect it, though, until this is in beta, when all the outfits are done.

Ohai Ish!

I read through your amazingly amazing documentation. But can't find anywhere that says where we obtain these upgrades! ... Now mind you i've just started a new save with this mod, And don't have Issy or Merril yet - So for all I know they could appear when we get our sexy ladies. But on the off chance they don't, Where do you get the upgrades? :)

The same place you would get them in the vanilla game. Distribution is identical. All I've done is alter the items that get distributed :)
