Your custom armours will show up in shops and such and once bought will upgrade as character levels.
You can still equip other armour if you have the 'equip party members' mod and re-equip your armour later if desired.

If this is correct my only issue is price. I found an armour in the ship for Fenris (at the hightown robe shop in act 2 I believe) which was 150 sovereigns or something. With prices like that it is not possible to buy more than 1 or 2 armours without cheating.

Not exactly. The first three armors are leveled at 5, 10, and 15 (though I'm considering increasing it to 10/15/20 because I've found that people tend to be higher-level than I had guessed when they come across the armors). The fourth and final armor improves with level-up.

That's correct. You'll need an "equip party members" mod to equip my armors as well, though. I'll include a modified equipment_layout.gda when my mod enters a beta stage, so that'll be built-in (it shouldn't conflict with any other mod that does the same thing, since the files should be identical).

The exception is Varric, because of Bianca (she's always getting in the way! of my Varric romance, of my mod, she's such a busybody!). In order to make my armors show up on Varric, his appearance needs to be changed to a naked dwarf or something (which actually doesn't exist; it's complicated and ugly). If you try to equip anything else on him, Bianca will disappear. If you don't change his appearance, then he'll just always look like Varric no matter what you equip him with, my armors included.

Fenris has an upgrade sold at a robe shop? Weird. But the prices are assigned automatically. I think I can set my own prices, but I had no idea that they were ending up so expensive. Most of them are quest rewards or boss drops, so I hadn't given price much thought. Thank you for letting me know about that, though!

Thanks so much for your explanation. I found some cheaper (50 sovereigns) armours (Fenris and Isabella I believe) at the shady merchant in the docks. I guess they are the lower level armours maybe.

The reason I think that I could never find the armours was that I kept looking in the 'gem' category where the old upgrades used to be found (as before mentioned, I am pretty slow on the uptake ) instead of in the armour category where they are now. My theory is that the new armour will be found at the same shop where the old upgrade was to be found which is why you find the new armours at unexpected places like the robe shop.

I don't think I found any special armours yet as drops or loot but I might be mistaken.
Anders is looking something wicked since almost the start of the game but I can't remember when his default outfit changed. Looking at the images I think it is slightly different from your gallery pictures...I think he has a skull cloak fastener. Alas, I'm at work so guessing.

Not only that but they seem to be appearing in a random order I've had the final armour pieces appear in shops way before the earlier pieces which means that if I use them I end up overpowered. Other than that splendid work - I love the tints you've chosen!

My Anders chap was wearing a plain Enchanted Robe.



I found the Warcoat of the Spirit of Justice and Mercy at the Herbalist shop in the Gallows.
The price was 112 sovereigns. I had about 105.
Not leaving the shop, I bought 20+ potions. Afterwards the price of the Warcoat had dropped to 78 sovereigns. I had not left the shop in the meantime.
It is very odd . Price either varies with the amount of money you have or the amount of items left in the shop.

The shady merchant had Fenris's Lyrium-etched Plate armour for 50-ish sovereigns. I forgot to check the robe merchant.

Just reporting that now I am looking under the armor instead of diamond category I have been finding your special armors everywhere.

I've also been getting them as drops. I guess when what drops is hardcoded which is a balance issue as sometimes 50 armor special armor drops by the time you're already wearing 100+ armor.

Still no clue how the price works in shops, but it seems to be related to how much money you are carrying, with a minimum price. This is bit of a problem as they best special armors in shops are superduper expensive.

Also, the appearance-reversion in cutscenes, area changes, etc. should be fixed. I know how I'm going to fix the evolving stats, but that will (probably) require a new game.
