Help recovering project data.

Well, here's the thing. I recently started playing DAO again, using my addon of course (see signature) and I wanted to make some small changes. The problem is that I lost my .dabdata backup on my latest format.

I did manage to save the exported files (.uti,.dds,.tlk and so on). And I was wandering if it could be used to restore my project in some way, as starting from scratch would be a real pain.
It seems like it's not possible but I thought I should ask anyway :wizard:

Sadly, if you don't have a .dadbdata file, database backup, or copy of the data base, AFAIK there's no way to reverse-engineer a module from the exported files.

In the toolset, File > Open will open most of the exported files in the GFF editor. So, in principle, you can diligently copy the old information to new data base resources field-by-field. That might work for a small mod, if you have the patience.

The GFF editor doesn't resolve references to the talk table. However, you can open the .tlk file to access the module's text information.

Script source files (.nss) can be read using any text editor e.g. Notepad.
