I was playing Mass Effect 2 with max resolution off FULL HD monitor on an old and slow CELERON D 3.06 processor with just Radeon HD graphics inside. I have set all graphical settings to MAX except motion blur and film grain. Also changed cinematic lights to 1. Performance was not so bad on these settings. Mostly 20 - 30 fps.

For now I'm trying to play Mass Effect and I am dissappointed with the game performance.
The first version of the game performs more slowly.... It is impossible to play this game even on wery low resolution and on the lowest graphics settings.

Maybe there is a way to import an engine or engine settings from Mass Effect 2 to the first game version?
Or maybe there is another way or some hidden options to change the game performance and the look similar to ME2?

You can't "import an engine" since an engine is something used to build a game. It isn't removable from the game.

Most people have noted better performance on Mass Effect 2 this is simply progress. They programmed the second game a lot better to create a smoother performance.

Mass Effect PC was ported from the Xbox 360, so there wasn't really much optimization work done. Mass Effect 2 PC however was released simultaneously with the 360, so there was plenty of time for optimization work.

I noticed that the biggest performance drops in Mass Effect 1 are caused by turning hardware audio on when you have a sound card that uses software emulation for EAX, like the X-Fi Xtreme Audio. Another possible issue is that the latest video drivers are not optimized for Mass Effect 1.
