- Not quite sure what you mean here. Games like this are usually done with a standard male and female body that is used by almost everyone, and then you have exceptions, like Isabela. In Origins, if you took off the clothing of your Warden, Wynne, Morrigan and Leliana they all looked exactly the same except for the head. This isn't something I mind really, since it keeps all of the armor looking uniform from person to person.
I do think that having a warrior with some more muscle would be a good thing, but since it is a 3d representation of a person, you run into the conflict of making it look decent, realistic and attractive all at the same time. If that's a problem, I'd prefer they just all have the same body.
As far as clothing is concerned, my main class is a mage. I HATE ROBES IN DRAGON AGE. Not only do they share among 4 or so re-colored models, but they look lame when walking/running/sitting. I would prefer more caster tunic options. Bethany's Warden outfit was fantastic!
Anyone wish for some better hair styles?
- I wish there were more than 1 short/crop style. I'd love some cute spikes or something, or a better ponytail. In general, I have an aversion to playing characters with long hair in games, mainly because it tends to clip through armor and such.
2. How many of you enjoyed the "Home" aspect?
- Meh. I could take it or leave it. It was appropriate for the way the plot was. The main thing I liked about it was the storage box and crafting tables >.>. Oh, and having sex on a bed in a more intimate setting was an improvement over a tent where everyone can hear haha...
3. How many of you felt that for a time span of 10 years that the romance interactions in the game were way too few? My Hawke was LONELY!
- Well, the main thing that bothers me about the relationships and companions in general was only getting major companion interactions through quests, rather than just being able to go and talk to them whenever you want as in Origins. You have no idea how many times I've heard Fenris say "We should move on." >.> Talk to me dammit!!

A lot was cut out, (*cough*Fenris shirtless*cough*) and I'm sure this included a lot of dialogue.
Yeah... I know I'm not the only one who wanted to see the markings under there... >.>

Ladies,
A couple questions that have been on my mind.
1. How many of you felt that Lady Hawke's body and clothes was lacking in comparison to the NPC's in the game? I am a very feminine gal, and I felt ugly! :/
Anyone wish for some better hair styles?
I mean this is a RPG!
2. How many of you enjoyed the "Home" aspect?
3. How many of you felt that for a time span of 10 years that the romance interactions in the game were way too few? My Hawke was LONELY!
I thought FemHawke's body was fine. I would always like more hairstyles but we got more than last time around. I just wish the designers would lose their apparent fixation with blunt fringes. Maybe more will turn up in a mod, if that hasn't already happened?
The home was a nice touch but I would have liked to have seen more visits, particularly from LIs who didn't move in, and more changes in the various items dotted around the home from your companions. More varied conversation from your family other than at the very start would have added something. Drinks party, card game or reading lesson might have been fun, but ultimately Hawke's life didn't revolve around home and that was appropriate.
I agree about the lonely feeling. I thought it was exacerbated by the framed narrative, the timespan and most of all by the fact that you had to wait to get a quest before you could talk to a companion.

I just wish they give us even more options with character creator. It can`t take them so much time to just sit down and spent a week to improve it. Hopefully the next game will offer something better.
And the home is great, but it too needs some improvements. Maybe some buying of furnitues , or other 'decorative' things into house, at least just for fun. And maybe a few more events at house.

No, not "women" - A woman.
Exactly what I was thinking...
That said, it's a shame someone can't express their interest in something without apparently "stereotyping" an entire gender. By Tripedius's logic, all men should get off this forum now.
They're enforcing the stereotype that guys waste far too much time on their games.
As for the topic, could the OP open up the conversation for men as well? I find the notion that only women are interested in the suggested subjects ridiculous. And this forum as well as the comments made for Origins pretty much prove this point.
Well your comparison fails, there are women ánd men on these forums. However I have yet to find a man who could care less about clothing, hair and how your home looks. There are lots of things to talk about but only women can count hair, clothing and interior decorating among them. Seriously would it have been better if she had a closet full of clothing just like barbies? Or pink armor?
Like says on my T-Shirt...

You clearly haven't stepped outside your house in the past 100+ years, men do care how they look and the state of their homes. What clothes they buy, I'm a man and I do like everyone else does (apparently except you). We aren't tramps living in cardboard boxes wearing rags.
Now on to topic.. The female choices in CC I felt were lacking in a big way compared to the males ones, it's hard to explain but the sliders didn't really seem to be allowing to make as much variety and quality compared to the male counterpart CC. The lack of choice hair wise and how plastic they looked was also off putting for both genders. The house aspect, I liked having a home but I also would love some sort of decorating method much like you pay someone to bring back the head of the high dragon and have a trophy room where can place your spoils of war so to speak. In the end the CC was an improvement with exception of hair styles and colours, the home was nice touch but was lacking something. As for the companions I found them to be cry baby, emotional baggage dwelling characters (most fo them) with only exception to this being Varric and Isabella. I always chose to romance Isabella because the alternatives would have me jumping off the highest cliff possible within a year.

Are you sure they were actual men? Metrosexuals don't count as real men, btw.
*Chuckles*
As far as I'm concerned, as long as they're sporting the right equipment, they're men.
Physically, maybe. Mentally on the other hand....
No normal male initiates conversation about make up and clothes.
Normal as you put it (hetrosexual strong/tough guys) 'men' and I am one of them do talk about clothes (not makeup though).

2. I loved the home aspect. Wished it was more used. Wished I would talk more with Leandra.
3. More more more interactions would be better. I wished I could talk to the LIs more, especially after act 2. (SPOILERR In Fenris case... I understand the lack of it /SPOILER).

Thanks for your answers. Just wondering how you all felt, as our dollars count too!!
1. I HATED her "Finery" I mean really? Every other girl in town had a variety of nice full length dresses. I think we should be able to buy what style we'd like to wear for our Finery. I liked the armors and styles very much but the casual really stunk. The hairstyles are ok, for all being rather short. I'd really like some LONG hair though. That goes for Mass Effect and DA.
2. I liked having my own home. That was cool. I wish ALL the LIs would have the option of moving in instead of just Anders and Merill though. But the others all having seperate homes was annoying really. It sucked having to wait for all the loading to go from place to place. Couldn't they all have their own homes during the day that you have the option of visiting but can all be found at the Hanged Man at night if you want to find all of them at once. The dialogue certianly suggests they spend enough time there for crying out loud.
3. I really really missed being able to talk to ANY of the characters whenever I wanted. I really liked DA:Os approach to that. I wish they'd go back to it. I also definitely wish there were more talking moments with your LI. There should at least be the option that when you go see them and there is nothing to say you had an option for kissing them or something like in DA:O. The relationships just didn't feel real to me the way they are. There were moments that were perfect. The first kissing scene leading up to the night at Hawke's mansion with Anders was PERFECT. Glorious and real and emotional. Fenris's ending scene at the final battle and talking to him first in Act 3 where you make up is good too. But otherwise there is just...nothing.

2. Liked having a home but sure wish some of the "junk" I found could be hung on the walls or something.. LI or not certain characters should be able to move in with you - like Merrill - leave a best friend at the alienage? Are you kidding?
3. Started dating Fenris but felt I had to roleplay and dump him - 3 years - seriously? Ended up with Merrill kinda cause I couldn't stand Anders.

and was it just me who thought femHawke walked and sat like a man in cutscenes? they used the same actions/stances as m!Hawke. I'm sorry but the way I sat with my dressing gown thingy on, everything would have been on display lol
Funny how they gave all the women this flouncy, wobbly way of walking and running, but then used the exact same animations for cutscenes for both genders of Hawkes.

That's why I modded manHawkes animation to my femhawke. Upped my enjoyment ten fold.

Don't get me wrong, I loved playing a tough as nails, cold as ice hawke as well, but I wanted to play the exact opposite this tie around. Even when you're playing political/extra good I felt she was very overbearing. Not a BAD traite at all, but not who I wanted to play at the moment.

3. The thing with the romances is that you pretty much miss out on the 'falling in love' part. You get to see Hawke and her love interest when they start showing an attraction to each other and then you go straight to the two of them being in love after three years pass. I kinda wished I could've experienced those three years because I wanted to see the relationship blossom. Despite that however, I was satisfied with the romances. Of course there is nothing wrong with adding more dialogue... the more romance dialogue the better I say.*hopeless romantic*
I agree with you FaeTian...there should of been much more romance dialogue....like the game that too was rushed. The whole game was spoilt by just about everything...although the mage spells wrre great and the way the mage used her staff to melee was a huge boost.
Did anyone get the feeling i got that Merrill was in love with Isabela? I really think she was.
