I tried Flashbang Grenade again last night. Didn't work AT ALL. Tried against many different enemies. Didn't do any damage, didn't overload weapons, nothing. Am I going crazy? I remember it not working against shotgun-wielding enemies, but last night it just didn't do ANYTHING. Not even against unshielded enemies.
Anyone tried this?

It never works again shotgun wielding enemies.
It is really buggy; I have stopped using it for Shepard; but love it for Kasumi and hers is much more reliable and pin point accurate.
The worst is on the Collector Ship, doesn't work half the time....

I know it doesn't work against shotgun-wielding enemies. But last night it wouldn't work at all and dealt 0 damage. I have never tried that before.
It's not like I have a weird hacked version of the game either. 360 version, unmodified.

Flashbang's effect is very erratic. That's why I - like Stardusk - prefer using Kasumi's. It can be a very powerful ability but its unreliability doesn't suit my playstyle. When I use a power I want to be sure what it will do to the enemy. This is very hard with FB: Throwing grenades is not very accurate, you'll have to wait a bit before it explodes and wait a bit more to be sure it worked - pretty bad imo.
It can be used very effectively though - check Tony's Agent Infiltrator videos (also 360) to see how he uses it. I tried, but FB never worked as well for me as it does for Tony - he might have some tips though.
P.S. You do want to try FB when you're up against husks - it can insta-kill armored husk (sometimes).

I totally ignore this power, because it is indeed bugged. I ignore Kasumi too..I like the Harby taunts, so she is pretty useless to me.

I have been lucky until now then I guess. I used it for a half a playthrough and didn't have any problems with it doing nothing. I actually became quite good at using it.
Very disappointing that it suddenly does nothing.
